|Les Violettes||Self Catering||Saturday||2||4||1|
Les Violettes is an airy, top floor (second floor) fully equipped, self contained self catering apartment. The well equipped kitchen opens onto the living/ dining room. One bedroom has a double bed and the other has two singles.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/ freezer. Cooking pots, pans and utensils are provided, as is crockery, cutlery and glasses for four people. There is a Tassimo coffee maker, please bring your favourite blends.
The dining area has a large table and four chairs and is part of the living room.
The living room has a settee and two chairs, plus a coffee table. There is a large tv attached to a dvd player. Free UK channels are available via a Sky box. You are welcome to bring your own Sky card if you have one, I think it would work.
The main bedroom has a double bed and a wardrobe. The second bedroom has two single beds and a chest of drawers. Together they have plenty of storage space.
The bathroom is fully tiled and has a bath with a shower over. Bath towels are provided and changed weekly.
There are electric heaters in the main room. It should not be necessary to use them but, if they are required, I do ask that they are used considerately. The apartment has it’s own hot water tank.
The television is attached to a dvd player. I’m sure a games console could be attached should guests wish to bring their own. The Sky box provides free UK channels.
The gardens are a particular feature of Le Moulin. The front garden has unfenced streams and ponds, and woodland to explore. The main garden is set above the front garden and reached via steps, through an alarmed gate, to a large open expanse of lawn with a fabulous heated swimming pool and sunbathing area.
Parking is available at the end of the house, with additional parking beside the garage if required.
Les Violettes is on the second floor, there is no lift. The front gardens are across a chemin rural and are unfenced with streams and ponds. The pool is not closely fenced, but the garden it is in is fenced and the gate is alarmed. There is also an alarm on the pool.
There is a communal laundry room for guests use. Free wi-fi is available in the apartment.
I moved to the Dordogne from Ealing in late 2017. The quality of life here, compared with that in London, is amazing, it’s so clean and quiet. I’m looking forward to beautiful summers and short winters, although this first winter has been unusually wet! I have two grown up daughters who don’t live here and a friendly, medium sized dog, who does.

|Why this location?||I fell in love with this house and was lucky it was in a great area for tourists.|
|Unique benefits of property||As well as being in a great tourist area, Le Moulin de Ladouch is a destination in itself.|
The aquarium du Perigord is the largest freshwater aquarium in Europe. It houses a large collection of sturgeon as well as alligators and a turtle beach. There is a cafe with cooling mists at the end of the tour. At the same location you will find a prehistoric labrynthe, jungle golf and Big Bird, a high wire adventure.
