Why this location? Les Girouteaux is a lovely village property close enough to walk into the village of Les Eyzies with plenty of restaurants and bars and the perfect base to spend time with Family and Friends whilst taking the time to explore all the surrounding beautiful Dordogne countryside. The swimming pool and gardens are just lovely and the setting needs to be seen to be appreciated.

Font de Gaume Caves
Just 100 metres from Les Girouteaux are ou can visit the Font de Gaume caves a UNESCO World Heritage site which have 20,000 year old original cave paintings - a wonderful experience.
Canoeing on the Dordogne and Vezere Rivers
Nothing better on a hot summer day than canoeing down the Dordogne river past several famous chateaux including Baynac and Castelnaud, and through lovely villages like Roque Gageac, Limueil great fun.
Lovely Towns and Villages nearby with restaurants and markets all within a short drive from Les Girouteaux - Sarlat, Le Bugue, Domme, Monpazier, Beaumont, Belves, Perige.uex
Just 20 minutes drive - one of the finest examples of a medieval town in France. The centre of the town is truly picturesque with more listed buildings than any other town in Europe, all of which are beautifully preserved. Market days (Wednesday and Saturday) are well worth a visit and an evening visit is a must as all the old town is lit up.
During July and early August, there is a theatre festival and throughout the summer you can watch the street entertainers and musicians who perform in the streets of the old town whilst sitting outside a cafe with a glass of wine or beer.
