Situated in the quiet hilltop hamlet of Les Brageaux, in the heart of the Parc Regional du Perigord. With panoramic views cross the Perigord Vert countryside. Perfect for those looking for a rural holiday, very peaceful location yet only 10kms from historic Brantome with its shops, wide choice of bars and restaurants and many activities. The area has many attractions close by - Chateaux, caves and the vineyards of Bergerac and St Emillion a day trip away.
Local markets almost daily in the summer season and Brantome Friday market all year round. Well located for easy access via Bergerac and Limoges Airports and only 45 minutes from Angouleme Station (TGV)
Other places of interest are Bourdeilles with its Renaissance Chateau, Riberac best known for its lively market and the enchanting village of St-Jean-de-Cole. Also close by are the Grotte de Villars and the Chateau de Puyguilhem. Slightly further afield are the vineyards of Cognac and Bordeaux and the Atlantic coast (about a 2 hour drive).

The downstairs bedroom is popular with people who may have difficultly in going upstairs and does have a toilet next to it. We have in the past been able to accommodate guests in wheelchairs as the ground floor of the house is almost entirely on one level.
The house has a bathroom and 2 shower rooms as well as a downstairs toilet.
The house has central heating and a log burner.
There is a dvd player, free to air tv a pool table as well as cards and games.
The house has a fenced garden as a large covered outside dining terrace.
They is plenty of parking in the courtyard at the front of the property, this is shared with the owners.
The house is suitable for larger groups and families, it is very popular with families holidaying together as its size and layout allows everyone some personal space.
My husband and I moved to France in 2001 to live and bring up our children. We no longer live permanently at the house and spend more time in the UK now our grown up children both study and live there. We love our French home which we visit often and enjoy welcoming our holiday guests to the property.

The pond of Saint-Estèphe is one of the largest and most beautiful stretches of water in the department. Located in the Regional Natural Park Périgord Limousin within the bounds of the villages of Saint-Estèphe and Augignac, it lies in a rural area of meadows, woodland, ponds and granite outcrops (nearby are the picturesque Roc Branlant (wobbly rock) and Chapelet du Diable (Devil's rosary)). The site offers a variety of atmospheres in a remarkable natural setting with outstanding landscapes and heritage. Access to the swimming facilities is provided for the disabled (Tourisme et Handicap label).
