My name is Ian,I am English and have owned Villa Veena since 1994.

Why this location? I very much fell in love with the South West of France whilst holidaying with my parents as a child, spending many summers around the coastal resorts near Royan and have fond memories of the long not summers, splendid food and friendly locals! Once I was able to decided to buy and renovate a property and never looked back! I find the pace of life suits me, and have never lost the feelings I had as a child.

It is also well situated close to the D5 ideal for visiting Bordeaux/Perigeux/Bergerac and Angouleme.

Close by are many man made beaches the closest is in St Aulaye just two km from Villa Veena, with canoeing for both adults and children alike.
A little further on is the beautiful village of Aubeterre where a visit to the Monolithic church is a must in my opinion! Around 10 km from home is the market town of Riberac with its well known busy Friday market!

Further afield are towns such as Brantome great place to eat out or picnic or St Emilion where you can sample or buy some of its famous wines.
