Impressive 18th Century Chateau situated in the quaint medieval village of Siorac-en-Perigord, on the banks of the River Dordogne, close to the many attractions of this beautiful area of France. The famous medieval market town of Sarlat is 30 minutes away and Bergerac airport is only 45 minutes by car.
This superb Chateau lies within an acre of private walled gardens, in tranquil surroundings yet within minutes of local amenities. The views from the Chateau are impressive.

The 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom Chateau has been completely renovated whilst retaining many of its original features. The rooms are spacious and light with high ceilings, large windows and stone floors. All the rooms are tastefully styled with beautiful antique furniture. The owner is an antiques dealer so the furnishings in each room are constantly being changed.
In the grounds there is a spacious cottage which can accommodate an additional 2 or 3 guests. It comprises of 1 double bedroom and 1 single bedroom, a shared bathroom, a combined lounge dining room and compact galley kitchen. The delightful and well kept garden has many shaded areas suitable for al fresco dining, a sunny courtyard and the private swimming pool (11 x 5 m) is alarmed for safety.
There is a plaque on the wall by the front door commemorating the Chateau's importance during the 2nd World War when it became a centre for the Resistance Movement harbouring a number of British Soldiers.
Within walking distance are restaurants, a supermarket, boulangerie, tourist office and the train station.
Nearby attractions include horse riding, golf, canoeing and prehistoric caves. All around are the naturistic delights of bird watching and walking in unspoilt countryside with an abundance of wild flowers and rare orchids.
There is a large kitchen dining room with dining table, chairs and fireplace.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an American style fridge freezer, dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob, microwave and sink. Plenty of cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses.
On the ground floor there is a large summer lounge with satellite tv, dvd player, comfortable sofas and armchairs.
On the first floor there is a spacious main lounge area with fireplace, beamed ceiling, paintings, lamps, large windows, comfortable sofa and armchairs.
On the second floor there are 3 spacious double bedrooms, all with en suite facilities, wardrobe space, bedside tables and lamps.
On the third floor are two further bedrooms - One twin and one triple bedded room.
The first floor bathroom comprises of toilet, wash basin and bath with hand held shower.
The second floor has en suite bathrooms and there is a separate toilet with wash basin.
The third floor has a brightly painted, shared bathroom with toilet, wash basin and bath with hand held shower.
No heating is available in the Chateaux.
The TV, with a number of satellite channels (some English ones), is located in the ground floor summer lounge along with a DVD player and CD player.
