A Traditional French cottage which is set in beautiful gardens. It offers a private, spacious verandah which is perfect for dining al-fresco and enjoying a glass of wine from the local vineyards. The cottage is equipped with all the amenities you may require for your holiday stay and comfortable furnishings. There are ample books for guests to enjoy or simply saunter from your cottage door to take a lounger by the swimming pool in the walled garden or take a refreshing dip.
The grounds are large enough to be able to wander and find a number of places to relax, read or enjoy the scent of the seasonal flowers. Pick seasonal fruit for your breakfast from the figs, cherries and later in the season even pomegranate! Take in the stunning night sky and breathtaking views across the valley.
The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. Whilst the kitchen is not generous in size, we have aimed to provide you with all that you need to fulfill your culinary needs.
The salon is large with a log burning stove and the dining area is located in this room, with seating available for 6 people.
There is also a large outside verandah to the front of the cottage which also has a dining table and six chairs. Loungers and a bbq are also available for our guests to enjoy.
The living area is large and boasts may original features such as a large fireplace with log burning stove, wooden beams and french doors leading onto the verandah.
There is ample seating with a sofa and four arm chairs. The book case is well stocked with holiday favourites and the tv has UK capacity. There is a hifi system for your enjoyment and wifi is available both in the cottage and from the verandah.
The lounge has been designed to offer comfort and space for our guests.
The main bedroom offers a super king size bed. There is good storage for all your clothes with a wardrobe and dressing table with drawers. If required, the bedroom can be made into a twin room if required at the time of booking. The room looks out of the french door which lead to open views across the countryside.
In addition to this, there is a double sofa bed available which can be used if further sleeping space is needed. We are also happy to provide a cot and high chair for our younger guests!
The bathroom is fully equipped with a shower, toilot and elegant hand basin.
The main source of heating in the cottage is provided by the log burner. Additional electric radiators can be provided if required and there is a heated towel rail in the bathroom.
Get away from it all in a private location set in 7 acres of picturesque countryside and yet only 15 minutes walk into the bastide village of Eymet where you have a variety of bars and restaurants set around a fountain in the middle of the square. Thereare many famous local chateux to enjoy including Monbazillac and Bridoire. Here you can opt for a medieval tour or simply sample the regional wines from the world renowned caves of Monbazillac.
Take an afternoon to enjoy wine tasting on “Le route de Vin”, touring the local vineyards. You can even arrange a local tour guide to pick you up, provide lunch and return you home safely!
Throughout the summer months there are ample local and night markets to discover.
Alternatively, lounge and enjoy the sun next to the salt water pool set in a walled garden.
Ample space for outdoor games: table tennis, darts and the traditional French game of boule.
Enjoy amazing night skies as the cottage is set in uninterrupted tranquil surroundings.
Capulet is set in 7 acres of countryside and yet within walking or cycling distance to the local village. Within the grounds there is a walled garden area which houses the salt water 11 m x 5 m pool, perfect for cooling off in the afternoon sun. There are ample loungers for our guests to relax on.
A boules court, table tennis table and darts are also freely available for our guests to enjoy.
The grounds host a variety of fruit trees including fig, cheery, apple, apricot and even pomegranate! Once again we are happy for our guests to enjoy the seasonal offerings!
There is ample space and a huge drive to make parking easy and relaxed. There is a private spot adjacent to Capulet and in addition to this guests have access to the spacious parking area. Often, guests can bring bikes, canoes and even classic racing cars! If indoor storage is required, there is a barn which can be used for bikes etc.
Couples and families are welcome. There is ample space for field games and many quiet corners to discoverin which to read and unwind. The locality is tranquil and we are very family friendly. The local village is bustling and offers a vibrant choice of activities and bars,restaurants.
We love welcoming well behaved and supervised furry friends and over the years have had the pleasure of hosting families and their pets.
Ideally, a car would be advisable to really benefit from being to explore the region, such as a day trip to St Emillion or Bordeaux. However if you are athletic, then a bike will do the job!
There is a laundry room on site with a washing machine, clothes lines and airers, iron and ironing board.
There are bbqs to be enjoyed.
Badminton and table tennis facilities are also available and a boules court.
Brian and Denise have owned Capulet for over twelve years, enjoying the benefits of living in the picturesque countryside only minutes away from the Bastide village of Eymet. Brian is a mad cyclist and takes full advantage of cycling down traffic free lanes, past Chateau and sun flowers! Former Headteacher Denise, enjoys cooking with the wonderful local produce, walking through the countryside trails and practicing her French in the local markets. They both love the majestic, unspoilt night sky.

|Why this location?||“Capulet” is a 15 minute walk from the Bastide village of Eymet, a busy village with a weekly market all year round and a night market in the summer. There are several excellent bars and restaurants in Eymet which surround the fountain in the village square. The River Dropt runs through and is popular for fishing and boating. Eymet is only one of one of many stunning bastide towns nearby. There are many activities in the area including canoeing, a leisure lake with a beach and slides, vineyards and wine tours, Artisan and night markets, horse riding and golf all for to enjoy. The hubbub of Bergerac city centre is approximately half an hour away by car as well as many picturesque Bastide villages in the area with chateaux to visit.
Bergerac airport is only 25 minutes away. There is easy and ample parking and even space to store outdoor equipment such as canoes, bikes etc.

A vibrant artisan market runs on a Tuesday night throughout July and August. The village bustles with people enjoying the local wine and food on offer such as duck, mooles et frites, crepes and much more. Artisans display their craft and the bars are filled with friends and family taking time to talk and enjoy the music and balmy evenings.

A market which represents the very best of French markets.Great local produce, cheese, fruit, vegetables, oils, truffles, pate, duck and so the list could go one. The cooked chickens are a favourite to save work when you return home! There are coffee bars to sit and watch the world go by and lots of local buskers adding to the truly authentic feel of the place.
