Having been awarded the title of 'One of the most beautiful villages in France' Limeuil will not disappoint, likewise neither will this recently renovated property.
Whether it be its historic charm and beauty or its proximity to everything that is wonderful about the Dordogne and Vezere valleys there is quite literally something for everyone.
If you enjoy the local markets or the panoramic gardens, walking, canoeing, swimming or merely sitting by the waters edge, you can so do with extreme ease, especially the latter as the house is located just 50 meters from the confluence of the Dordogne and the Vezere rivers.
Having just been very recently sympathetically renovated the house offers a unique charm and style, with its walled south facing garden you can relax and enjoy a glass of something cold with bubbles whilst planning your next days adventures.
In short, there is every reason that your holiday should be what dreams are made of in this luxurious and elegant setting.
The large kitchen which leads off from the living area also has direct access to the garden through its magnificent double doors, thus making dining al fresco that much easier.
However, you may feel inclined to dine inside at the dining table which comfortably seats six while still enjoying the views of the garden.
There is one very bright and spacious living room that still maintains an air of elegance while housing a large flat screen television and a Bose sound system.
The property has two bedrooms, both rooms are south facing overlooking the garden.
The master bedroom's king size bed is dressed with white Egyptian cotton bedding, as are the twin single beds in the second bedroom.
Should there be a chill in the air on one of those late summer evenings then there is also a log burner in the master bedroom, for your extra comfort.
There is one modern bathroom.
The south facing walled garden is a stones throw from the river, and offers the opportunity to bask in the sun, taking a refreshing dip in the above ground splash and look forward to dining al fresco under the vines.
Sadly this property is not suitable for children under the age of 10.
Having moved to France 8 years ago now, but only having purchased this charming property last year, it is now my belief that I have quite possibly found paradise.

|Why this location?||We chose this location because of its proximity to the rivers, because of the buzz that in particular the summer brings to Limeuil and because of the beautiful life that this region offers.|
|Unique benefits of property||Naturally I'm biased, but aside from the properties own beauty with regards to its age and elegance, for me its location is one of its unique benefits.
In the summer the village hosts a night market every Sunday with a live band and to be able to take the (very) short stroll to the waters edge and choose to be among the entertainment, or enjoy it from a far, makes for magical and indeed memorable summer evenings... then again, to enjoy the very same location for its natural beauty the next day makes this, in all, really very special.
The region has so much to offer it is very dificult to know where to begin but....
to dine out, you must experience the Michelin starred restaurant that is 'Le Vieux Logis' in Tremolat, (5kms away) it is superb and unforgettable. If however you'd like somewhere that you can walk to from the property then 'The garden party' in Limeuil is wonderful also.
For a canoe trip on the river, the beach in Limeuil is as far as you need travel, unless you'd like to venture further afield and enjoy the sights of Beynac Castle and Le Roque Gageac but even then the canoe company will drive you from Limeuil and 'deposit' you in your desired part of the river.
There are many fascinating prehistoric caves that are certainly worth visiting, some as close as Audrix, which is just 7.6 kms from Limeuil.
The Panoramic gardens in Limeuil are delightful and also a fantastic insight into the plants that have been of great importance to the area throughout the ages.
