About the Owner/Advertiser, Mr Simon Pearson

We moved to France in 2012 following careers in the care industry and company management. We have five children between us and four grandchildren so far!
We bought this exclusive complex of four houses since it gave us the opportunity to be able to live on site and provide any assistance required to our guests, oh and we could live in France too!
We enjoy meeting all the great people who come on holiday here, often returning for many years.

Year property purchased 2012
Why this location? We holidayed in France for many years and on one occasion drove through the Dordogne and Vezere valleys on the way back to the airport. We could not believe how many attractions and beautiful vistas we passed on that short trip and vowed to return. This was where we wanted our future holidays! The Dordogne has over 1000 chateaux, world famous caves, fantastic medieval towns and villages, those wonderful rivers and much, much more. You can drive in any direction and find a great reason to stop, a pretty cafe, a watermill or something grander such as the 12th C abbey at Rocamadour. The climate is very good and normally 5 -10 degrees warmer than the UK. This is a rural area and as such has a very slow pace of life - lovely. Cities are within easy reach if you need a change of scene and Perigueux is a wonderful city to visit, as are Bergerac and Sarlat. This region has everything you need, whether you are a couple or a family, with many outdoor activities and interesting places to visit.
Unique benefits of property Each house has its own private garden area and is centred around the beautiful central courtyard. If you are looking for peace and tranquility within reach of all the facilities you need, you have found it! We are situated in the largest forest in the area and just a short drive from a whole host of attractions. We have air conditioning to both floors in the barn and a shared hot tub and bar area. The barn is stylish and spacious with antiques and all mod cons. A delightful property that impresses all our guests.

The Owner Recommends

This is our local town and boasts the new Lascaux IV cave exhibition centre which shows you the artwork of prehistoric man as found in the original Lascaux cave. The town is beautifully situated on the banks of the Vezere river and there are four great restaurants on the riverside. Bars and cafes abound and it is lovely to stroll around the medieval streets.

The jewel in the crown of the Dordogne is just a short drive from here. A stunning medieval city with fantastic architecture and photo opportunities around every corner. There are many quality restaurants and bars here and something for everyone. Take up a trip up the old belltower in a glass lift, see the 12C underground spring, watch the street artists do their thing, visit the wonderful church, follow the old city walls and winding streets with artisan shops selling local produce and handmade goods.
