Independant from the other buildings in the complex, the 2 bedroom gite is really fantastic. Attractive and inviting terrace area adjacent to the pool leads guests in the main lounge area which has a beautifully restored fire place with a wood burner. The gite has free view satellite tv and also dinning for four people.

Leading away from the lounge access can be found to the downstairs bath and shower room which is tastefully decorated and also to the double bedroom which is cosy.

Upstairs is where guests will find the main feature of this gite, the second bedroom. This isn't a double bedroom it is an entire floor which has been fully restored. There is a free standing bath tub, low ceilings and exposed beams and soft lighting and furnishings which really make this room stand out. Guests will love this room, it is simply perfect in every regard.

Kitchen and the dining area are open planned and lead onto the living room. The kitchen is fully equiped with oven, hob, microwave and coffee machine.

Main living room has a 2 seater sofa and also a 4 seater table which can be used for dining.

There are 2 bedrooms to the property. The downstairs double bedroom is well sized and also has a large double wardrobe so handy for hanging space.

The second bedroom is in the loft space and occupies almost 50sqm and we like to think of this room as a real master bedroom. It has its own lounge area which leads on to the bathroom and free standing bath tub. The stairs are steep leading into the loft area and the ceilings are low and reveal exposed beams in the roof.

Bathrooms

2 bathrooms one downstairs with seperate shower and bath area. Bathroom is quite large and also has claundry cupboard with washing machine available.

2nd bathroom is upstairs and features a free standing bath with relaxed lighting and candles.

My wife Louise and I purchased the house in 2015 as a project and completed a full renovation on the two gites that we offer out for rental. We still have the main house to renovate which we hope one day will be the most perfect B&B for guests to stay in. We are a professional working couple have two teengage girls and are very active competing in Triathlon and other running and cylcling events around Europe.

Why this location? We fell in love with the Dordogne and the house immediately. The area is very rural and a great place to get away from it all. It is not on the main tourist trail so never very busy but equally very central to all the main tourist attractions that the region has to offer. Whilst being rural the nearest towns are less than a 15 minute drive away so very easy to be back in civilisation if required.
Unique benefits of property It is quiet and peaceful and the garden is over 10k acres so plenty of room and freedom to move around. At the end of the garden there is access to marked trails which lead around the local countryside and up to circa 50km in total which is ideal for walking, mountain biking etc. The property is unique in that we have two gites which occupy the land and share a pool together. It is therefore ideal for families wishing to go on holiday together but equally being able to have own space and freedom when needed. Additionally, if not travelling as a group there is always the opportunity to make friends with other guests who may be staying at the same time. Many of our guests have done this and enjoyed a glass of wine together as the sun is going down.

Historical town with beautiful cathedral, local farmers market, cobble streets and lots of local shops make it a must destination. Also during July and August there is a food and drink festival each wednesday evening where you can sample the local delicacies and enjoy free live music all taking place directly on the streets of the town.
