Located in a hamlet on a no-through-road (no passing traffic) the location is very peaceful and enjoys beautiful views across the village and the surrounding countryside. The villa is just minutes from fairy tale settings (Chateau de Commarque, Les Jardins de Marqueyssac), historical sites (Font de Gaume, Lascaux Caves, Chateau Castlenaud) and medieval villages (Beynac, Les Eyzies, Sarlat-la-Caneda).
Mulberry Tree Villa is your sanctuary for relaxation but as it is located in the heart of the famous Golden Triangle of the Perigord Noir we are just 6kms from Les Eyzies, 6kms from the lovely village of St. Cyprien (and all required services) and 20 mins to the historic town of Sarlat-la-Caneda. Our local centre at Meyrals is just 3km away and provides a bakery, a bar and 2 restaurants.

Kitchen and dining

Complete kitchen made for a chef including microwave and two ovens, dishwasher, toaster, gas stove, coffee-maker, oils and cooking spices. Private French chef (available upon request). Washer and dryer. Welcome basket includes red and white wine, milk, juice and fresh eggs. The kitchen is well designed and modern. It has beautiful custom made oak cabinets and oak floors with granite kitchen counters and lots of space. The kitchen is well supplied with gadgets and is a chef's delight.

There is a spacious dining room and a dining terrace with a large Weber gas grill for your outside entertaining. There is also an outside lounge terrace to the back of the house, where the views of the countryside are at their best.

Living rooms

The house is full of character and French charm with oak beams and stone fireplaces. There are 2 large comfortable living rooms with flat screens tv's (English and French), dvd players, cd player with iPod docking station. Books, cd's and dvd's.

Bedrooms

The villa has 5 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a California king size bed with an en suite bathroom with rain shower and bath. Bedroom 2 is double room with an en suite bathroom. The 3rd bedroom is also a double. The 4th bedroom has a king size that can be converted into 2 singles should you prefer. The 3rd and 4th bedrooms share their own bathroom with rain shower. Downstairs there is a 5th bedroom that is very private in it's own separate wing of the house. It has an orthopaedic double size mattress. The suite has it's own living and dining area and it's own separate full bathroom with rain shower.

All linen, large medium and small towels, bath robes and pool towels are included in the price and can be changed on a Saturday.

Prepare for luxury. Situated within the grounds you will find a 20x43ft (6x13m) heated, chlorine-free, salt-water swimming pool. It's one of the largest pools in the Sarlat Dordogne area and we keep the temp at 27C minimum through the season. There is plenty of terrace space around the pool for lounge chairs and umbrellas. You will also enjoy an 8 person Jacuzzi hot tub, overlooking the lush green pastures of the Dordogne countryside. You and your family and friends might decide that sight-seeing can wait until tomorrow, or even next year ;-)

The kids can enjoy a large new trampoline.

One acre of beautiful gardens where you can relax in the different swing chairs that we have placed around the lovely gardens surrounded by mature trees, plants, and beautiful flowers. Two ponds with fish and a coupe with 11 chickens!

Andy and Uliana have a corporate career behind them but have now decided to embark on a new adventure. Why this location? Location, location, location!!! All our guests agree we are in the center of paradise. Privacy, peace, and quiet!! Away from it all, but with everything close by. You have a gorgeous villa to relax and enjoy, but within 5-20 minutes you can see so many fascinating and historical sites in the Perigord Noir. There is so much to see and do in our area, that you could stay for a month and not see it all. There are beautiful village's and chateaux's to explore; the Dordogne and Vezere rivers offering fishing and canoeing; as well as superb restaurants and shops. There are numerous vineyards of Bergerac for wine enthusiasts and there is a different local market situated in a nearby village or town for every day of the week. This is a wonderful home to enjoy and relax in, has all the amenities you could want, and close to everything. We hope to see you soon!!

3. Chateaux - Beynac, Castlenaud and Milandes within 15 mins are the highlights in the land of 1001 chateaux. Campagne for it's gardens and Commarque for it's situation and ruined grandeur are also recommended.

4. Gardens - Marquessac on its ridge, Limieul at the confluence of the Dordogne and the Vezere and Jardin de l'Imaginaire are close and recommended

5. Bastide Towns - Belves, Monpazier and Beaumont are all in the immediate region

6. Sarlat - authentic and well preserved medieval town - the capital of the Perigord Noir

7. Markets - every day of the week and night markets with eating and music/dancing during July and August. The Sunday market on our doorstep at Saint Cyprien
