There's a 10m x 5m private pool with plenty of sun loungers and parasols, a large balcony overlooking the pool, vines and orchards with dining furniture and bbq.
Amongst the 1 acre of private flat grounds there is also table tennis and badminton.

First floor vaulted and beamed, well equipped large kitchen with two fridges, twin dishwashers, twin ovens and hob, microwave, large stone double sink, washing machine and dryer. The kitchen open out onto the large balcony which overlooks the pool.

Off the kitchen is the large dining room with antique monastery table, seating 16 comfortably.

Living rooms

On the ground floor there is a sitting room with sofa-bed, providing a ninth bedroom if needed (at additional cost), a cinema room with large screen, projector and sound system and a study/library/reading room with desk and sofa.

Up the stone staircase to the first floor you'll find the beamed 100m² 4-aspect lounge with large comfortable sofas and armchairs, satellite tv, cd/dvd player, wi-fi, Yamaha piano (available for use by competent pianists at extra charge), the snooker room and the music room.

On the ground floor there are 4 double queen bedrooms with en suite bath/shower and wc and 4 twin bedrooms with en suite shower and wc.

It's perfectly situated for those who wish to explore. The wonderful and famous wine village of Saint-Émilion is 30 minutes away, with the greatest wine territory in the world, the Médoc, only 90 minutes away. The beautiful valley of the Dordogne lies to the east beyond the riverside town of Bergerac.

Wines and vineyards

Set amongst vineyards, Le Presbytere is in a perfect position to explore the wines of the area. The wonderful and famous wine village of Saint-Émilion is 30 minutes away, with the greatest wine territory in the world, the Médoc, only 90 minutes away. Duras is only 18 minutes away, with many local small wine producers very close by.

Local markets

The local markets are always worth a visit. The market at Sainte-Foy-la-Grande is one of the largest in the area and is on a Saturday. A little bit further afield Eymet's market is not to be missed and is on a Thursday, Duras and Miramont's markets are on a Monday and the market at Issigeac on a Sunday is always very busy so try to get there early. Evening markets in the summer months are great to visit usually with entertainment and a wide choice of food available.

Chateau visits

Head east of the property along the Dordogne valley and visit the impressive chateaux of Biron, Beynac and Castelnaud-la-Chapelle.

Beautiful villages

East of the area is home to some of the most beautiful villages in France. Named as some of 'Les plus beaux villages de France', Belves, Beynac-et-Cazenac, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, Domme, La Roque-Gageac, Monflanquin and Monpazier are all worth a visit.

Beautiful gardens

The Jardins de Marqueyssac are beautiful, and the view from the viewing platform across the Dordogne valley towards La Roque-Gageac is spectacular.
