The upstairs room on the mezzanine is especially loved by young people (and the young at heart). It feels cosy with a panelled ceiling and a Velux double glazed window and is furnished with two single beds and fitted shelf units as well as hanging space for clothes. The ceiling is over 2m high at the top of the stairs (entry point) and slopes away, reducing in height gradually under the eaves.

The bathroom and loo are directly opposite the master bedroom. The bathroom is half tiled throughout and includes a large front-lit vanity mirror over the washbasin. There is a full size bath and shower unit and the room is fitted with an extractor fan. Shelves and towel rails are provided and the room is interestingly lit with overhead halogen and mirror backlighting.

Labenne is a vibrant, bustling holiday village throughout the Summer season.
The fully enclosed garden is a delightful space for relaxation. Four large lounger chairs are provided and the outdoor space is good for reading, sunbathing or just 'chilling out'.
Most family meals can be prepared outdoors on the SW-facing patio, in a bbq setting, using a double-burner gas grill - but it is often easier to use local take-aways. The main meals will be taken at the large, outdoor dining table on the patio - where it is usually warm and sunny.
There is an open-fire, mobile bbq which can be positioned around the garden to minimize smoke problems.
Safe parking is provided within the bounds of the residence in a gated enclosure. Overflow parking is available at the rear of the property.
Dogs are not allowed and smoking is restricted to outdoors.
There’s no shortage of exciting activities to enjoy around Labenne The ‘Landes’ region supports a high standard of golf and there are many excellent courses within a few miles.
Swimming at Labenne is also exciting because the huge waves are great fun when the tide is on the turn and there are championship standard surfing beaches at the neighbouring resorts of Hossegor and Seignosse.
For the more leisurely inclined, there are many forest footpaths around Labenne, whilst for those who seek a slightly faster pace bicycles may be hired locally.
Labenne has a prestigious tennis club where courts may be hired by the hour and, on the outskirts of the town, a riding stables offers lessons or ‘hacks’ depending on your standard.
Finally the local game – pelotte is well worth watching especially at Grand Chistera standard and there are tournaments every week in the nearby sports arena in Hossegor.
We have owned this rental property from new and never grow tired of the house and the local area. We actually live in the house ourselves from end-May to mid-June and then again during September - in order to make sure that all is well for our guests.
