Visitor suitability

We think the property is suitable for most visitors although families with children under 5 should be aware there is no physical barrier to the pool and for those with restricted mobility there are two steps to take at the house entrance. All bedrooms are on the first and second floors.
The house is in the centre of this rural village and most of our neighbours keep a good selection of dogs, cats, chickens, pigeons, rabbits so you will be able to hear plenty of evidence of village life during your stay.
As well as this, we are close to the village church, which has a fine set of bells that it's not afraid to use!
We find it quite charming, but if you have any concerns, do get in touch for a chat.

About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Kate Donnelly

We moved to the Béarn des Gaves for its incredible beauty and access to a landscape unsurpassed for hiking, cycling, climbing, parachuting, rafting, fishing and a myriad of outdoor activities and adventure pursuits. It’s the perfect location for cycling or hiking the foothills of the Pyrenées. Keen cyclists ourselves, Paul is a veteran of over 20 years in international Triathlon and cycling championships, and was a qualified Osteopath for 22 years, before we made our escape to rural France.

Year property purchased 2007
Why this location? From the snow capped mountains, to the Pyrenées-Atlantique. UNESCO World Heritage Sites, to some of France’s most picturesque villages.
