A tastefully decorated converted barn/gite is available on a self-catering basis which sleeps 10 people and features four bedrooms, four private shower rooms, a huge well equipped kitchen and dining area as well as a large outdoor dining patio. Ideal for large gatherings of family and friends. Set in five tranquil hectares of beautiful gardens.
A well equipped large kitchen with everything you need to cater for your friends and or family. A large indoor table seats 10 people with ease. Outside is a large dining area on the patio.
The living room has three sofas, television (french and english). A wood burner is used during the winter months.
There are four bedrooms. Two bedrooms have double beds and two bedrooms have twin single beds.
The fifth sleeping area is a space which is screened by a curtain and has twin single beds.
There are four separate bathrooms with shower and toilet facilities.
Heating is provided by a wood burner in the winter months.
There is a large swimming pool, petanque court and badminton equipment. A barbecue is available for guest use.
The garden is large with a range of established trees and shrubs. During spring and early summer there is a field of meadow flowers in bloom.
There is ample parking space. Guests can drive past the main house and park outside the gite. There is no garage.
This accommodation would suit a group of friends or family wishing to spend quality time together in a relaxed environment. You can do a little or as much as you wish. Some guests have spent their entire holiday on site, others have explored the surrounding area and activities on offer. There are stairs in the gite to the bedrooms which may make it unsuitable for disabled persons. The swimming pool (10m x 5m) is deep so young children must be supervised. The swimming pool is enclosed by a fence. There are sun loungers, a sun parasol and plenty of outdoor chairs.
There is a clothes line for drying clothes located behind the gite.
We have a friendly dog called Elsa.
Pets are welcome.
Hi, we are an English couple, Daniel and Tracy, who moved to France to run our bed and breakfast and gite business. We enjoy meeting new people, skiing, surfing, cooking and walking with our dog in the amazing french countryside.

|Why this location?||We chose this location because it is so peaceful and beautiful. The rural location is very tranquil yet we are not far from the major city of Pau and there are many local attractions such as Chateaux and vineyards and local markets, bars and restaurants. We are only 90 minutes from Biarritz and 90 minutes from the Pyrenees so we have the choice of skiing in the winter or surfing in the summer.|

There is also a separate area (with curtains) with two further twin beds. This is ideal for large groups of family or friends. There are four separate bathrooms with shower facilities offering lots of options for guests. Guests can enjoy eating outdoors on the large patio area or under the shade of the trees. The pool is large and has proved to be a highlight with all our guests so far. Guests can also enjoy badminton on the lawn or bowling on the petanque court. Pets are welcome.|
A great trip out for any wine enthusiast. Very friendly staff, English spoken, offering free tours and free wine tasting. You can wander through the vineyards at your leisure and take in the spectacular views. 30 minutes away.
The fascinating fortified town of Navarrenx has a range of bars, restaurants and boutique shops, artisan painting and pottery. Shakespeares is a micro- brewery producing English bottle conditioned real ale. The bastide was constructed around the 13th century. The ramparts overlook the the Gave d’Oloron which is the longest salmon river in France. A market is held on Wenesday morning and Sunday mornings (in the summer). Rafting 64, an amazing half or full day canoe/rafting trip, leaves from Navarrenx bridge. Good English spoken.
An impressive 5th century Gallo-Roman mosaic at Taron church. 5 minutes away. The mosaic was uncovered in the grounds of the church and is now on display inside the church both to see and touch..

Baudreix Lake O Kiri water park is situated 45 minutes drive from Maison Lahon. The water park has a water jumps and giant slides, a water ski lift on cable wakeboarding open to any group, individual, families. Open April to September.
Jazz in Marciac is a musical event that has been held under the stars in August since 1978. Over 200,000 people meet every year in the small village of Marciac to enjoy this gathering with famous jazz players and young musicians. For a fortnight, concerts take place under a giant marquee or at the Astrada. A fringe festival also takes place on the main square in Marciac, which still has its medieval arcades. Smaller Jazz in Marciac sessions also take place at other times of the year. Marciac is a 55 minute drive from Maison Lahon.
The festival of equestrian art at Tarbes usually held in July. 1 hour from Maison Lahon.
