Exceptional self catering accommodation, with large well maintained gardens in a rural setting with excellent views. Nearby there are shops, restaurants, bars, golf courses, horse riding, go-karting, River Garonne and Canal du Midi (ideal for fishing). Thirty minutes to historic St-Emilion, 90 minutes to Atlantic coast, 45 minutes to Bordeaux and Bergerac Airports.

The gite has a fully equipped kitchen/dining room. Large relaxing lounge with satellite tv/dvd. Two spacious bedrooms each with 1 double and 1 single bed.  Two shower rooms with wc.

Private pool , sunloungers and parasols. Furnished patio with bbq. Childrens swings, a selection of bicycles and games, table tennis. Linen provided.

About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Janet Finney

Trev and I spent many times holidaying in France and made the decision to purchase the property in 2003. We spent time to renovate the house and in 2005 we opened the Gite to visitors. Since then we have welcomed and enjoyed many holiday makers who have given us some great reviews and on many occasions returned year after year. we hope to continue for many years to come.

Why this location? After holidaying in France for many years and visiting different places, we settled here in this peaceful area with open countryside views, but only 5 minutes from the lively well maintained Village of Meilhan Sur Garonne and the smaller quieter village of Hure.
Unique benefits of property We are situated perfectly between the river Garonne and the Canal Laterall ideal for many water activities (fishing, canoeing, boating). The Voie Verte(the canal path) is popular with cyclists and walkers alike. The private pool is always a big attraction with furnished patio and outdoor table tennis.

Canal Lateral

Two minutes from gite, either a pleasant stroll or a leisurely cycle ride, the canal pathways have had a major refurbishment which makes it excellent for cyclists and walkers alike. You could easily visit the Halte Nautique at Meilhan, where you will find bars to provide you with drinks, snacks and ice creams, or travel a little further to Fontet Marina, a pleasant leisure park with secure bathing lake, childrens play area, volley ball pitches, cafeteria, for those well earned refreshments.

Fishing

The accommodation is ideally situated near to the River Garonne and the Canal Lateral, excellent for fishing. Holiday permits can be purchased from the village shop.

Golf

The accommodation is within a short driving distance of 3 great golf courses, Marmande, Langon and Casteljaloux, excellent for all you keen golfers.

The property is 5 minutes from the lively village of Meilhan. Every Wednesday night the Village hosts a night Market, Local producers serve up gourmet food and wine all to be consumed al fresco whilst being entertained by local Mucisians.
