We are now a retired couple who have for many years enjoyed going to France, so we eventually purchased a property in this area. We enjoy the quiet location and grounds to relax in and use the property as a base to travel around.

Clermont Dessous - a small hilltop village with historical church and lovely views.
Buzet sur Baise - local wine co-operative, fabulous Le Vigneron restaurant and canal/river boats for hire.
Bastide towns - including Montflanquin, Montpezat, Villereal, Pujols and Vianne.
Nerac - historical buildings, lovely park walk alongside the river. Lud' Parc is a water park just outside the town.
Small village of Fregimont about 1 mile has a small bar and shop for essentials.
Porte St. Marie about 10 mins drive has Post Office and boulangeries. There is a supermarket just outside the village.
Agen is the nearest large town and well worth a visit for the smaller shops,restaurants and bars on the high street. There are hypermarkets in the commercial centre on the edge of town.
The co-operative at Buzet is the place for wine tasting and shopping. It is possible to have a tour but this needs to be booked in advance.
There are many small producers locally who advertise their goods at the side of the road.
There are several markets on different days, notably Aiguillon, Tonneins and Agen.
Throughout the summer there are nightmarkets held in local villages.It is often the chance to buy local goods, sample local delicacies and perhaps music.
A visit to Bordeaux by car or train. New wine museum worth a visit but allow plenty of time as lots to see and do.
Sea-side visit to the Atlantic coast for long golden beaches, the Pyla Dune (Europe's biggest sand dune), and Arcachon.
