Year property purchased 2003
Why this location? We chose the location because of the peace, tranquility, space and views. The area was largely undiscovered in 2003, unlike its neighbouring department the dordogne and has remained refreshingly unspoilt by mass tourism but there is always plenty to do in the summer months. Although our location is rural and peaceful we are only a 10 minute drive from attractions and amenities. This is definitely the place to come to get back to nature, relax and unwind and enjoy a slower pace of life.
Unique benefits of property Laid back rural summer living with luxury, charm, space, tranquility, peace and views.
Fabulous food and wine, the very best France has to offer.
Excellent facilities and equipment for families with babies, toddlers and children.
Centrally located in the unspoilt Lot et Garonne in SW France.

A beautiful and spacious villa with superb facilities for children that make this place the perfect go to for a chilled holiday with the family. Julie and Steve have obviously put a lot of effort into making it a home from home for families with young children and that is what makes this place stand out. My toddler was in heaven and we didn’t have to bring loads of stuff because it was already there! Big pool and wonderful dining area. Steve and Julie are very welcoming and knowledgable about the local area. There is plenty to do around the local villages but also because it has so much for kids you can just enjoy being at the villa. Thank you for having us-we hope to come back with more children next time!

Our family of 3 generations had a fabulous holiday at Las Cabanes. The pool was wonderful, there were beautiful views all around, and a choice of places to eat our meals in sun or shade or simply to relax. And the outdoor kitchen for evening meals was a real bonus.

There was so much to entertain the children they were never bored. And the impressive range of equipment for babies and todlers made it so much easier for parents. We hope to return again!

Owner response

Thank you very much for taking the time to post such a super review. We are so pleased that you all had a wonderful holiday and appreciated the equipment and toys provided. It is good to know that the outdoor kitchen we recently installed has been put to good use for evening meals. We do look forward to welcoming you all back again very soon. All our very best wishes. We loved the quiet location the outdoor pool and eating areas. We had cooking washing and food facilities for 16. The views from the house are spectacular. It’s a car ride to anywhere but a good location for bike rides or walks. The small studio was a lovely asset Julie and Steve were very helpful Before and during our visit. They were on site but ‘invisible’. The house is French rustic and spotless on arrival. There are toys games books and a playground. There are small local towns restaurants and a few attractions near by but we had the hottest temperatures for years and were glad of our own extra fans at night. Would recommend as a holiday location for families with young children

Owner response

Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to leave us a super review. We are delighted that you all had a great time here and enjoyed the peace, tranquility, space and views. We hope to welcome you all back one day.
All our very best wishes

A large group of 6 adults, and 4 children visited Las Cabanes during the August summer holidays. The property and surroundings were picturesque and the children instantly felt at home. The layout of the property was well organised, with lots of things for children/babies to keep themselves entertained. We also loved seeing the owners goats and chickens on site. The children were enthralled with the whole experience. There are lots of great areas for large groups, and plenty of seating and outdoor space. Our one negative to the holiday would be the check in and check out times, due to paying for the first day at the accommodation. Sadly you can’t check in till 5pm. After an early flight with young children, trying to keep them entertained till this time was a struggle. However we did appreciate a large house like this would require a large cleaning turn around. Overall we had a lovely break at Las Cabanes and would highly recommend to groups with young children.

Owner response

Thank you for your lovely review and we are delighted the children loved the animals and you found the property well laid out equipped and organised. With such a large spacious property and so much equipment and facilites on site for your exclusive use it is usually impossible to clean and prepare the house, gardens and grounds and pool before 5pm although we do ring guests if we can turn it around any quicker. Thanks again for choosing to holiday at Las Cabanes and we hope to welcome you back one day.
