Renovated Stone House with Private Pool. This cottage/gite is in a rural setting.

200 year old renovated stone house on the edge of tranquil Montpezat village, set on a hilltop with lovely views. Private parking space, bright aspect with large living kitchen, adjoining a small terrace with views.  The house is double glazed and has blinds to stay cool in hot weather. Toilet and washbasin on the ground floor, plus a shower room, toilet and washbasin on the first floor.  The house terrace gives direct access across a tiny village lane to a private enclosed garden with 19' x 12'  in- ground pool, sun terrace, loungers, dining furniture and bbq.  Montpezat is a rural, mainly French-speaking village with a post office, wifi, doctor and basic village shop with bar within a short walk of the house. Delightful pretty village picnic area with table tennis, basketball, swings etc. Pretty Castelmoron-sur-Lot village with weekly market, shops and bakeries is 5 km from the house. The house is within 30 minutes of Walibi Theme Park (rides), listed "Prettiest village of France" Pujols, many lovely restaurants, festivals, markets, wine-tasting and free open air music concerts (in season).  3 km from the beautiful River Lot with river beach, boating etc.  2 hours' drive to the lovely Atlantic coast at Archachon where you can climb the highest sandunes in Europe or swim at the family resort of Biscarosse.



Kitchen and dining

Well equipped living kitchen with family size fridge freezer, dining table and chairs, Bosch electric cooker, microwave, leather sofas, flat screen monitor and dvd player (no tv reception), small cd player and radio. A small selection of dvd, plus books and board games provided. Dishwasher, washing machine, iron and ironing board in the separate utility room.

Living rooms

The living area has two leather and one wicker sofa, coffee table and flat screen monitor for DVDs (no TV reception). A small supply of DVDs provided, plus a selection of books, games and a CD player. Pleasant views towards the pool and valley beyond.


Kind size French style carved bed in one room, a small twin bedded room, plus a third bedroom which has one three-quarter and one single bed. A travel cot is provided, plus a baby quilt and sheets.


A toilet and washbasin lead off the utility room on the ground floor. Upstairs, there is a recently renovated shower room, toilet and washbasin.


Flat screen monitor (no tv reception), dvd player, small selection of dvds, books for adults and children, board games, small cd player and radio.

Garden and outside

Small enclosed terrace immediately adjoining the living kitchen with small table and four chairs, giving lovely valley views. Directly across a tiny village lane, six steps down to an enclosed private garden and pool, with sun terrace, loungers, dining table, chairs and parasol. Small grassed area, bbq and palm tree.
