About this property

Charming Village House With Private Pool & Views. This cottage/gite is in a village setting.

Built in 2000 on the site of an ancient ruin, the house is surprisingly large inside and is ideal for 4 /6 people. The charming cottage is constructed on two levels with the main living area accessed at street level.

From the entrance hall you are lead into the main living room with beamed ceilings, a long table seating 8-10 people, comfortable seating around a fireplace and a well equipped kitchen area. This contains a large American style fridge/freezer, dish washing machine, electric oven and hob, coffee machine and toaster. This main room leads directly onto the south facing terrace which runs the whole length of the house giving superb views. Also, on this level are a guest toilet and a bedroom containing a 6ft double bed and a shower/bath room.
Internal stairs lead down to the second level which has a large room containing a corner settee with sleeping for two adults or children. There is also a shower/bath room, and the laundry with the washing machine and dryer.
From this level there is direct access to the pool and partially covered terrace and garden.
This cottage offers comfortable accommodation and is situated in the heart of one of the loveliest villages in S.W. France. It is situated just outside the village walls guarding the medieval centre with its narrow streets and lovely stone buildings, a delight to explore.

The Owner Recommends

‘Marché Gourmand Nocturn’ (evening markets).

For the real taste of Summer in France, then don’t miss one of the ‘Marché Gourmand Nocturn’ (evening market). This is dining ‘al fresco’ as it should be. Select somewhere to sit at the one of the many trestle tables then, browse the stalls selling local cooked meats and produce from which to make your selection of a meal. To accompany this choose a bottle of wine from one of the local wine producers. Why not finish by having a crepe, fresh fruit, gateau or ice cream. The ambiance deepens as the entertainment gets going and you may even get to your feet to dance a step
