We were a family with ages from four to sixty five and we had a fantastic holiday. The house and grounds were spacious and beautiful. We did not spend much time in the house itself , apart from sleeping, as the pool house was so well equipped it made living outdoors so easy. The region was very picturesque, there was lots to see and do, but as the weather was so hot it was difficult to prize ourselves away from the amazing pool. A canoe trip along the Dordogne was enjoyed by all along with trips to the local markets to enjoy a coffee and practice our French . We enjoyed fruit from the orchards and sitting out by the pool in the evenings watching the stars. The owners were helpful and friendly from the time we first booked and we would certainly recommend this property to others.

We stayed at La Chapelle for a week in August - the house and gardens were beautiful, spotless, spacious and well equipped. We had everything we could possibly need - the kitchen was particularly well appointed, which enabled us to cater for our extended family group with ease. There was enough room for everybody to relax without being on top of each other and the pool kept children and grand children entertained for hours. A massive plus was the garden, complete with mature fruit trees - delicious fresh figs, peaches, apples, plums, walnuts and grapevines. The pottery opposite is well worth a visit. We also enjoyed SUP boarding and canoeing on the nearby river and the traditional market in Eymet. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather and didn't want to leave - what more can I say!

Owner response
