The property is situated in the outskirts of a small village called Vares just north of Tonneins on the banks of the Garonne River (accessible by Bordeaux and Bergerac airports) in the heart of the French countryside.
A fishing enthusiasts paradise. Vares offers a local store (selling bread & newspapers), a convenience store and a bar. Tonneins hosts a large selection of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants and weekly markets.
Pie Pasquie has huge grounds well as the fenced & gated garden & pool area for safety....masses of space for football, cricket and any other games you can think of.

There is a quiet lake at 5 mins drive for fishing, appreciated by lads large & small!
The nearest tennis court is In Tonneins, which is the nearest market town, 10-15 mins drive, on the banks of the river Garonne - a very pretty town with supermarket, shops restaurants & bars.

Holidaymakers have said that they really enjoy the pretty Vares fishing lake.
Aside from the plentiful vineyards in the region, the area is well known for is productivity of plums and prunes. Nature lovers can enjoy the wildflowers and birds as well as the undulating countryside which is perfect for walking
There is golf at Villeneuve Sur Lot Golf & Country Club, an 18-hole championship course, and at Tombeboeuf there is a 9-hole golf course with practice area and a pro shop. Both golf courses have clubs, trolleys and buggies for hire.
Agen, apart from its renowned art museum, has Park Walibi, a big amusement park that is always fun for the children. At Clariac there is the Magic Forest, again great fun for the children. The Magique Chaudron is a must for the children. This is an angora goat farm where the children can help to bottle feed the kids at certain times of the year and even help with the milking and cheese making.
Tonneins (a 10/15 minute drive) is the closest large town with a host of supermarkets and restaurants and a railway station.

Further local activities – fishing, boat trips, microlight flying, canoeing, kayaking, leisure lakes, castles, fortified churches, bastide villages, wine tasting, daily markets, evening markets, caves, grottos, potteries and local farms selling their own produce.
