All the towns in the area have a market on different days which our guests love to potter around so whichever day of the week it is, there is always somewhere different to visit, stop for a coffee and watch the world go by.
For those who like a bit of fun in the evening, there are night markets during July and August where you can buy local produce which is bar-b-qued in the streets, and you can sample some of the wines which are on offer from local producers at their own stalls.
There are many Chateaux to visit, wine tasting, golf, horse riding in the next village, and we are surrounded by the best selection of very reasonably priced restaurants you will find anywhere.
The Bastides (fortified towns) of Monpazier, Villereal and Monflanquinare not to be missed, and the magnificent Chateau de Biron has guided tours.
There is a 13 x 6 meters swimming pool with a roman end, and a very large garden where the children can explore in safety, and where there is an outdoor table tennis table, boules may be played on the lawn or driveway.
There is ample parking in the shade under the horsechestnut trees.
The ground floor apartment is suitable for wheelchair users but the bathroom door is only 72cms wide
4 Tennis courts in the nearby village, 5 minutes from the Chateau.
Aerial walkways in the trees at Lacapelle de Biron 30 minutes away.
3 Golf courses 15 - 30 minutes away.

|Why this location?||The Aquitaine region is known locally as the birthplace of man, because of the many prehistoric sights that cover the region, Lascaux and Rouffignac being the two most popular, and Rocamadour is the second most visited sight in all of France.
Thanks to the Hundred years war when Britain and France struggled to dominate the region, there are a wealth of Chateaux and fortified towns to visit. The magnificent city of Bordeaux has a new tram system, making it very easy to get round and is well worth a day trip, as is Saint Emilion, famed for its classic red wine.
This is the gastronomic heartland of France. Dine on Foie Gras, Cassoulet, Confit de canard, and Magret. Accompanied by a glass of Pomerol, Medoc, Saint Estephe, or Saint Emilion, and to finish your meal, savour the rich intensely perfumed dessert wine of Monbazillac which comes from the hills surrounding the historic town of Bergerac.
