From our field and swimming pool you have an amazing view of the mountains and the valley. It is very quiet and gives you an immediate sense of peace and rest.

Of course when you arrive you can park your car up to the gite to carry in your luggage.
We are happy to help you with your luggage.

Visitor suitability

The property is suitable for almost everyone although we must say it is not ideal for people in a wheelchair due to the many pebbles and the fact that the gite is not adjusted for the chairs. Every case is different, feel free to come, but we will not recommend the gite for you. We are here to help you.

About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Myrianne Stieners

We are a little family, with a lovely daughter that is soon turning 2 years old and a sweet little dog. We come from Belgium and have lived here since 2016. We love taking care of our guests and enjoying the good life in France. We like to walk and discover the area.

Year property purchased 2016
Why this location? We fell in love with this property after a three year search in this area. We were blown away by the view over the fields and the feeling of a romantic, really french village. Our estate has everything we searched for and it took us only 15 minutes to decide we wanted to buy it! The area is really calm with lots of things to do at little distance such as shops, vineyards, and excursions and plenty more.
The people in the Lot et Garonne are very friendly and open to tourists and visitors and they love to tell you about the beautiful things and history here.

The Owner Recommends

Chateau Bonaguil

Fort of the 13th, 15th, 16th and 18th centuries.
The castle of Bonaguil is located on the border with the Lot.
From the top of its rocky spur, it dominates the valley and the medieval village. It forms a gigantic set, unique in Europe, in
a remarkable state of conservation.
During a guided or self guided tour, Bonaguil, its dungeon, its cave, its drawbridge, take you through the heart of medieval history.

Chateau de Duras

The castle was built during the 12th century on a high position by Guillaume Amanieu, viscount of Bezaumes, Benauges and Gabardan.

In the early 14th century, Gaillard de Goth, brother of the first French pope Clement the 5th, inherited Duras castle. Papal money must have been useful for the construction of a new fortress to replace the former medieval castle. Then, the lands of Duras become property of Arnaud de Durfort when he contracts a marriage with Marquèse de Goth, the Durfort become then Durfort-Duras and the castle remains property of the same family until 1838.

Situated in a strategical area during the Hundred Years War, the Durfort-Duras forges successive alliances with both kingdoms, England and France. The battle of Castillon in 1453 puts an end to this war, but the Durfort family embrace the protestant faith at the 16th century, being strongly opposed to the King of France. They will abjure this faith later, crushed by many years of civil war. This family reaches the status of a County. This is the beginning of their social ascension; they become count, marquis duke and finally Peer of France. The castle then becomes symbol of financial, military and political power of the Durfort-Duras.
