These stone-built farm cottages have been renovated by the resident English owner that has taken care to keep the authenticity of these farm dwellings.
Made up of 3 gites which sleep up to 4 or 5 in each, they are Ideal for group family/friend holidays seeking individual accommodation. Toulambic offers a quiet setting but is just 200m from the village where you can stroll to get your fresh bread and croissants in the morning.
In the village you'll find 2 boulangeries, an organic butcher's/grocers, a post office, a pizzeria/restaurant, 2 excellent créperies, a hairdressers and dentist. There are also 2 local English speaking doctors and a very big pharmacy.

Just a 2min drive away is the town of Fouesnant which offers all amenities shops, bars, beach view cafés, supermarkets, popular refined restaurants and traditional créperies.

Nice garden with an area where the children can meet and play together
Pleasant comfortable property keeping the rustic character and being in a good location for shops, beaches and activities. This property is suitable for families and couples alike
I moved out to Brittany with my husband in 1988. We bought Toulambic with the intention of doing B & B and painting holidays as my husband was an artist. We had to rent a gîte whilst doing the renovations and hence the idea to do gîtes occured. I've been running the gîtes ever since and it's nice to meet guests who appreciate Brittany and it's beautiful scenery and tranquility.
|Year property purchased||1988|
|Why this location?||Well located near village with a few local amenitities and beaches within 6km. Towns such as Benodet, Quimper and Concarneau all within reach.|
|Unique benefits of property||Authentic traditonal gîtes keeping the rustic decor with modern appliances for holiday accomodation with a difference taking you back in time.|
There are numerous beaches ranging from the quiet secluded coves of Beg Meil to larger sandy beaches such as Benodet, Mousterlin and Cap Coz.
If or when the children have had enough of the beach there is still plenty to keep them occupied with play parks, swimming pools, pony riding and not forgetting tennis and golf all in easy reach.
In every town and village you can find a creperie. It's a must to try.
In the evenings stroll around one of the many fetes, even have a meal and join in the local Breton dancing at their Fest Noz.
There is a market every morning in the vicinity but the biggest and most popular by French standards are at Pont l'Abbe on Thursday and Concarneau on Monday mornings
This is the ideal area to do both of these with the coastal paths, and exploring the country lanes to find the hidden Brittany.
All sorts of watersports are possible even with sailing schools. Surfing at Pointe de la Torche, canoeing up the River Odet are just 2 ideas.
A lovely property, we have stayed here three times and really enjoy the gîtes which are traditional and rustic with a lovely shared garden for relaxing in. Each gîte has a separate outside area for eating and socialising. The location is in a quiet village near lovely beaches (Beg Meil and Cap Coz). The city of Quimper is ten minutes drive away for culture and museums etc.
The owner is originally from England and is very helpful and friendly with good local knowledge. We have stayed in the summer and love going to the local beaches and the regular ‘Fest Noz’ events and markets in the surrounding towns. The area is great for a traditional family beach holiday and also good for cycling and walking. We like the coastal walk from Cap Coz to Beg Meil where you can discover lovely small hidden bays.
In the summer there is a party every Thursday in the park at Pleuven (2 minutes walk from the gîte) where they have live music, dancing, crêpes, other food and a bar. There is a large Leclerc supermarket down the road and many other shops in the vicinity including Ty Bio - a supermarket for local organic produce and whole foods.
Suited our family group very well for what we were after: self contained accommodation but with the friendly english owner in the grounds in case we needed anything including local advice. Facilties quite basic but it depends on your priorites. Good value for money.
Plenty of communal garden space to relax, local shops within easy walking distance and plenty of nearby beaches and sites to visit. We never needed to travel far for all the activities we needed in the week we were there - and each day was a different destination, sometimes two.
I would definitely recommend.
Beautiful house set in a lovely little village. Our host Susan couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The garden was beautiful and our children loved all the space we had. The village is a minute walk away and every Thursday during the summer the community come together to eat, drink and listen to live music and we had a wonderful evening there. The beach is 8k away with a running/cycling track all the way and another track above the cliffs. Brittany is truly beautiful and we had a wonderful and relaxing holiday - with two young children!!! It was a very special home from home and I would highly recommend this gite for a family or couple holiday.
We had a fabulous week long stay at the Farmhouse in Pleuven. It was very clean and well looked after. The owner was very friendly, always smiling and helpful in recommending places to visit which were suitable for our young family. The Farmhouse was perfect for a family of 4. It was lovely to return to the cottage after a long hot day at the beach and enjoy the beautiful garden. We loved it, we'd highly recommend and we will be back!
