This location has multiple holiday properties
Le Rhun’s farmhouse and former farm outbuildings have been thoughtfully converted to provide 5 individual and stylish holiday retreats: the Farmhouse (sleeps up to 14), Ecurie (sleeps 4), Etable (sleeps 8), Hibou (sleeps 5) and the Chestnut Loft apartment (sleeps 5). Set in Le Rhun’s beautiful rolling farmland, the holiday homes retain many of their original features – a delightful combination of stone, slate and exposed beams, giving the properties tremendous charm and character. Each property has a private terrace or garden with barbecue. Unpack and relax in the comfort of your home from home - washing/drying machine, dvd, hi-fi, hairdryer, microwave, food processor and picnic basket complete with bucket and spade! Outside you'll find plenty to do. If you're feeling active, head for our heated outdoor pool, ball games field, swings or sandpit. If it's peace and quiet you seek, head off down our farm tracks and woodland walks where you'll find plenty of shady spots to settle down with your picnic basket, a good book and a glass of wine. Don't forget your camera - the wildlife is abundant.
Argol's picturesque village square is half a kilometre along the lane with its boulangerie, La Poste, bars and creperies across from the ancient church. The cider museum and Maison des Vieux Métiers hold regular exhibitions and living displays of country crafts.

From the golden sands of Pentrez to the wild surfing beaches of Lostmarc’h, there is a beach to suit everyones taste. Even at the height of summer, you can easily find a quiet spot to sit and contemplate the waves. Whether you want to put your feet up and relax or try your hand at something new, there is plenty on offer with sailing, surfing, sand-yachting, cycling, horse riding, golf and scenic walks through national park lands and pre-historic sites. Idyllic location for families and friends to get together.
We moved here in 2005, after living abroad for a number of years. We fell in love with the Presqu'ile and especially the magic of Le Rhun. We love the peace, the space, and the big open skies here. We wanted to share the magic of our quirky and homely gites, and are always creating new places for children and grown ups of all ages to explore and play.

|Why this location?||Once you have visited the Peninsula d'Crozon you will understand.|
|Unique benefits of property||Peace, tranquillity, a splash of magic, the fairy glade and a pirate ship!|
Argol village is a 15 minute walk away and boasts a boulangerie, La Poste, 2 small bars, a tabac and creperie as well as a museum of country crafts!
Telgruc-sur-mer is 5 kilometres away and also has a bank, small supermarket, general store and road drops down onto a magnificent sandy beach.
Crozon - a picturesque town with a beautiful market square, supermarkets, artisan bakers and boucherie/charcuterie. On alternate Wednesdays there is a morning market snaking from the square, through the narrow streets, selling hand made crafts, local fresh food, cheeses, seafood and Brittany hot food delicacies.
Morgat - a small seaside town that makes us think of Balamory with its brightly coloured buildings hugging the coastline and many yachts moored in the harbour. The beach and harbour offer you the chance to hire kayaks, bikes, go diving, go on boat trips into the caves or soak up the sun at one of the many small creperies and bars along the sea front. For six weeks at the height of summer the streets come alive as the sun sets with 'Mardi Morgat' - a Tuesday night street festival of live bands strolling along the sea front and performing on the stage in the square, with families and friends dancing in the street into the early hours or perusing the unusual gifts at the craft market!
Camaret - A harbour town with numerous waterside restaurants with great fresh fish and seafood. A firm favourite for surfers as it is surrounded by surfing beaches and beautiful clifftop walks.
Locronan - One of France's best kept villages with higgledy-piggledy houses, cobbled streets, beautiful creperies, quirky shops, atmospheric church, and our personal favourite - a magnificent hand made chocolate shop.
Quimper - Fascinating medieval city with beautiful church, art gallery, market hall, timbered buildings, amazing merry-go-round and interesting little shops including one selling delicious, elfin the mouth macaroons in 24 flavours presented to you in exquisitely wrapped boxes.
There are 10+ beaches on the presquile, most within 20 minutes drive. The closest (and our favourite) is Trez Bellec in Telgruc-Sur-Mer, 5km away (5 minutes in the car). There are lots of places to hire Kayaks, catamarans, sand karts, to name but a few of the activities. But best of all there are many wide open, uncrowded, sandy beaches to choose from.
There is a wealth of things to do on the Presqu-ile de Crozon. From walking, cycling, surfing, sailing, museums, national parkland, a maze, Parc Accrobranche (tree climbing and paintballing) beautiful local markets, La Maison du Cidre, La Musée Vivants des Vieux Métiers, Le Musée du Mémorial de la Bataille de l'Atlantique, a number of sites of historic interest including the standing stones at Camert-Sur-Mer. Something to please everyone...
Le Rhun was a children's holiday paradise; hence parents and grandparents also very happy. The Fairy Glade and the pool were amongst the highlights; as were feeding the chickens and shetland pony, plus egg collecting.
Lesley was a wonderful hostess and her creperie evening was a highlight.
The accomodation in Etables was lovely, although best for all the same family due to adjoining bedrooms, and bathrooms close together.
Beaches, scenery, lack of traffic, excellent roads and easy journey from Roscoff make the region a winner.
The only downsides were that the boulangerie and supermarket were 2 miles away; and that for parents to enjoy an "up-market" meal necessitated a 10 mile drive to Morgat.
Great accommodation for a fabulous holiday! This is the third time that we've stayed at Le Rhun and the second time in this particular gite. The accommodation is absolutely five star and the area is a treat with lots of amazing beaches and things to do. The arrangements for young children (availability of baby/toddler) equipment etc is first rate too, meaning more room in the car for taking some wine back! Thanks again to Lesley, Alan and the guys for a top holiday!
