This attractive modern property lies within an enclosed, south facing garden only 300m from the beautiful sandy beach of Le Trénez.
The interior of the house is light and airy with an open-plan ground floor. The property benefits from a large, sunny, west facing conservatory, a perfect place to watch the most amazing sunsets. This leads into a large sitting/dining room with a wood burning stove and dining table big enough for family meals. The recently refurbished kitchen is well equipped as the owners love to cook!
On the same level, there is a double bedroom with a wheelchair accessible en suite shower room with wc which can also be used from the hall and a children's room with 2 bunk beds.
There are stairs leading down to the garage and a small summer kitchen, which has a shower, w/machine, tumble dryer, freezer and sink. The table tennis table is here but can be wheeled outside in good weather.
The first floor has house bathroom with over the bath shower and separate toilet, 4 bedrooms, 3 doubles (2 with small, south-facing balconies providing glorious views over the coast) and a fourth with twin beds and a cot.
The garden has a small (fenced) pond at one end with resident goldfish. Bbq and garden furniture are available for use. There is ramped access to the front door.
The family beach at Trénez is just 5 minutes walk from the property and a short walk along the coastal path brings you to the smaller beaches in Kerliguet or Kerdoualen. The lively beach at Kerfany with bars, restaurants and children's playground is 3km away and can also be reached by a lovely cliff top walk. Sailing boards and boats can be hired here. Fishing nearby.
The local area provides delightful river estuaries, picturesque harbours and the artist's paradise of Pont-Aven with its numerous galleries. In the neighbourhood you will also find excellent restaurants, crêperies and bistros offering local seafood.
There are 2 excellent golf courses within 30 to 40 minutes drive.

Situated so close to the beach makes it ideal for families with small children. There is good surfing in the local area, also great for walkers and bikers as cliff paths can be reached directly from the property and there is lots of storage space on the basement floor for bikes, boards and diving gear.

Downstairs en suite shower room has been refurbished to make it fully wheelchair accessible with wet room style floor and bars either side of toilet and shower seat (see photos). Designed with the help of our wheelchair user friend who has also tested it for us.

|Why this location?||So close to a lovely beach. Great to be able to access cliff walks directly from the house. Great variety of places to visit within the local area but also further afield. Not too far from ferry ports.|

5 minutes drive. It is walkable but probably takes about 40 minutes for a round trip! The best croissants, gorgeous bread and wonderful patisserie.
Excellent crepes in a friendly local setting. In the middle of Moelan, easy to reach.

Intermarche supermarket in Moelan (10 minutes drive) has everything you will need. Very good fish counter.
Local friendly Italian in Kergroes. A warm welcome from Alain and Sabine, especially for children. Delicious steaks, thin based pizzas, pasta and salads. Ice cream sundaes are particularly good!
Very close to the beach, easily walkable in 5 minutes.
Market day is Tuesday. A lively market with fresh produce of all kinds. Fish is especially good.
Delightful setting of an old watermill. Traditional French cuisine, fairly expensive but a real treat!
La Veranda, Kergroes.
Very good restaurant in the centre of Moelan. Food is imaginative, beautifully presented and tasty. Probably not the best place to take children unless they have adventurous tastes!
15 minutes drive. Smart, modern restaurant serving 'nouveau cuisine' right in the middle of this pretty town.
Brilliant coastal walks along miles of well signed paths. Good biking country with cycle paths on main roads.
A most pleasant stay in a beautifully located house.
We stayed in Yvonne's house in Moelan-sur-mer reference BF002152. The house was very comfortable with a lovely garden, safe for children. Lots of space inside and outside, and well equipped with garden furniture. The house was well furnished and very clean. The beds were comfortable with nice duvets, etc. It had a welcoming feel when we arrived. The kitchen had everything we needed - lots of crockery and pots and pans etc. and although the kitchen was a bit "dated" everything worked, and the large dining table was perfect for a large family (we were a party of 8, three generations,). Underneath the house there was a large garage/storage space, and a separate utility room with washing machine, dryer, and sink, along with a shower (useful for getting off the sand after a trip to the beach). Again the equipment was good. It was just a short walk (5 min) to a lovely sandy beach, and lots to do in the area (Quimper only about 40 min by car well worth a visit).Overall we enjoyed being in the house and had a great holiday - we hope to return! The owner, Yvonne, was helpful at all times, and the caretaker ( who met us with the key ) was efficient and had cleaned the house thoroughly before we arrived. She came the morning we were leaving and checked everything carefully before giving us back our deposit. We left everywhere clean and tidy so there was no problem.
The only negative was not being within walking distance of a nice village to buy the bread for breakfast and to go for coffee/meals, but we knew that before we booked. We reckoned that being so close to the beach was more important for us with the children in mind.
