Walking distance to Morlaix and with 12 acres of parkland to roam around
Morlaix has a wonderful and varied Saturday morning market with local producers of meat, vegetables, fish, cheese, bread, jams, flowers and plants, in the main market square, whilst clothing, books, bric-a-brac etc in the Place des Otages. A typical friendly, interesting and invigorating experience of France. Nearby the Grande Rue and La rue de Ange de Guernisac has lots of great shops.
Why not be spoilt for choice ! – Morlaix has everything from plain and simple to very French chic with prices to match. Try a crepe in the newly opened Aptik Bilig or the Creperie L'Hermine, both in gorgeous medieval buildings, or good value fair in the Bains Douche (the old converted public baths and showers). Try La Maree Bleu, or L'Estaminet for something more sophisticated. Why not go down the estuary four miles to Le Cafe du Port at Le Dorduff overlooking the estuary and Loquinole. Are you a gourmand? Try the Hotel de Carantec, a Michelin two rosette restaurant not to be missed - superb. What ever you choose we do not think that you will be disappointed.
Visit some or all of the 7 nature reserves in Brittany, Les Sept Isles (Seven Islands) at Perros Guirec for gannets and puffins, or Venec (Brenhill) for ducks, grebes and peat bog plants.
This world famous series of huge and fabulous aquaria, at Brest, is only 35 minutes drive away.
There are amazing beaches only 15-20 minutes drive from Coat Amour.
Explore the signed footpaths (one runs past Coat Amour), or ramble though the Arree Mountains in the National Park of Armoric, famous for its flora and fauna, just to the south of Morlaix.
