The 4 bedroom property can accommodate up to 10 persons (including young babies and children) and includes a large living and dining area, refurbished kitchen, bathroom and a conservatory overlooking the private garden.

The Owner Recommends

Beaches

There are many, many beaches lining the south coast of Brittany; some close to town centres and restaurants, some are long, stretching as far as the eye can see and others hidden in little secret coves. All the beaches are sign-posted along the coast, but some of the more popular ones include Cap Coz, Beg Meil, Port Manech near Pont Aven and Benodet’s town beach.

Carnac

The Stonehenge of Brittany, Carnac is known for its unique rows of ancient standing stones. In addition to the stones, Carnac also has a collection of sheltered beaches and a museum devoted to Prehistory, with a collection of prehistoric objects from around the region. Carnac is approximately a 90 minute drive from the property.

Concarneau

Although it is one of France’s main fishing ports, Concarneau is a popular tourist destination. The main attraction is the Ville Close (the walled town), an old stone, fortified ‘town’, full of narrow streets, shops, restaurants and ramparts with spectacular views over the area. Outside of the Ville Close is the modern Concarneau, with coastal walks, beaches, restaurants and cafes.

Locronan

A quaint and traditional stoned village, Locronan is located about an hours drive from the property, to the North West of Quimper. The village is well-known for it’s religious connections and the church, which dominates the village centre and the surrounding countryside and landscape. The village is also a short journey from the port town of Douarnenez and Douarnenez Bay.

Pont Aven

Known for its association with the impressionist painter, Paul Gauguin, Pont Aven is a picturesque village at the mouth of where the River Aven meets the sea, forming a large coved area. The village contains many traditional clothes and food shops, as well as some riverside walks, which follow the river past the old mills out towards the sea.

Quimper

The capital of Finistère, it is where the old meets the new. Alongside the River Odet are the narrow medieval street that surround the large, gothic cathedral and historical ramparts. Contained within these streets are a large variety of shops and markets, which makes this a busy city. However, a minutes walk from the city centre is the Promenade du Mont Frugy, a path that winds around the central hill within the city and offers some spectacular views.
