It was our second visit to La Petit Maison. As on our first, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The location and setting is so peaceful with only an occasional vehicle passing by. If you want somewhere to relax and unwind then this is a good place to be. Kingsize bed was so comfy! Freesat telly, so all the English channels if telly is what you want to watch!! Also wi-fi available. Be treated to a variety of bird songs all day. Only a few minutes from delightful Huelgoat, which has a huge lake as well as two good supermarkets supplying your every need. Our favourite activity was to sit by the lake with our wine, bread and cheeses.
We loved every minute and would recommend this without any reservations. Also excellent value for money! Typical French country cottage.
Malcolm is a gentleman and not intrusive at all but available next door if you need anything.
Thank you Malcolm
A well enjoyed third visit to La Petite Maison, Coz Castel. We just love the peace and quiet in such beautiful countryside which is so close to Huelgoat. Lovely to meet up with Malcolm again - the owner of the gite - who gave us more names of places to visit and recommending the easiest routes. Loads to see and do with the west coast being less than an hours drive. We would certainly recommend this property and hope to revisit again in the future.
Thank you for the lovely review Anne and Roger. I am very happy that you found your third visit so enjoyable and hope to see you again before too long.
La Petite Maison is situated in a small hamlet in beautiful countryside near the small town of Heulgoat in Brittany.
The cottage has everything that you need to enjoy your stay. La Petite Maison is clean well and maintained.Heulgoat is about 3 miles away and has several good restaurants and bars, there is a market on Thursday mornings. There is a beautiful lake in Huelgoat for fishing or walking. Not far away is the larger town of Carhaix where there are some stunning Medieval buildings and several good restaurants. We have already booked our next stay at La Petite Maison.
We've stayed at La Petite Maison several times and we absolutely love it. Quiet hamlet set in beautiful Breton country side near the small town of Huelgoat. Huelgoat has some nice pubs and several restaurants, one in particular the Pont Nuef is a typical Breton creperie good food and it is set next to a beautiful lake, when the weather is good you can eat by the lake. Near La Petite Maison is the small village of Berrien a short walk through the quiet country lanes where you'll find a nice bar and a good boulangerie. La Petite Maison is lovely small Breton cottage well presented and has all you need for a comfortable stay. We can't wait to return.
