The house was fantastic. Everyone said it was the best holiday let we have stayed in. The house was very clean and well equipped. It worked very well for our party which had a mix of ages. There was enough space for everyone. We were very lucky with the weather but one of the best things about the house is that it would have catered well for us all even in poor weather. Beautiful walks from the door down to the river and beach and more great family beaches a short drive away. Having the pool was great and used by the kids every day. A short 4 minute drive to the local village. We have already recommended the house to friends and would love to go back ourselves.

We had stayed in the area last year and had often walked past the "blue house" on our way down to the beach saying what a perfect location and wouldn't it be great if we could stay there...

We stayed in Le Veniec this May and the Blue House fully lived up to our expectations - the bathrooms in particular with their heated towel rails and excellent showers. The weather was a little changeable so we didn't really take advantage of the expansive terrace and decking or the plunge pool but we appreciated the log burner and the comfortable sofas watching coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show on the huge TV.

The English owner was really welcoming and helpful not only during our stay but also afterwards when she kindly posted the dog leads I'd left behind.

My husband and I and our two small dogs walked every day from the house down the quiet road and onto the stunning beach which, at that time of year, was usually deserted. It was a bit of an adventure fording the river as it ebbed and flowed from the lagoon according to the tides but very refreshing! The cheat's option was to drive a few minutes along the beach road to the other end and mingle with the kayakers and windsurfers. The path through the sand dunes was a delight if the tide was completely in. There are also lovely coastal walks both locally and around the peninsula.

Would we return? Indeed we will as we think we have found the perfect combination of accommodation and location!

A wonderful place for a large family holiday. More facilities and toys than you can shake a stick at, ambitiously decorated, and the biggest bedroom since the suite in the (large hotel) in Dubai. If watching the sunrise over the valley from the terrace isn't enough, it's short walk to some great views, a 4km downhill bike ride from Telgruc, swallowtail butterflies and glow-worms in the lane!
Thanks Emma for a great holiday.
