|Why this location?||Proximity to Roscoff for ease of use thanks to the Plymouth-Roscoff ferry service. More importantly, the striking beauty of the landscape / seascape (white sand, turquoise blue water, granit boulders...), the local culture with a strong orientation to the sea and farming, the quality of food, particularly seafood and vegetables. Last but not least, nearby Le Dossen beach offers exceptional potential for watersports.|
|Unique benefits of property||Located in a quiet area (surrounded by artichoke / cauliflower fields), it is nevertheless close to town so as not to have to use the car if that is the feeling. Proximity of the beach (300 meters). Roscoff has a lot to offer, especially in the summer. Very cycling friendly as there are dedicated cycling routes all over, the roads are pretty quiet, and the attitude towards cyclists is usually very good. The house is cosy, the garden south- facing and pretty sheltered from the wind. The neighbours are friendly and helpful.|
One in Roscoff, one on Ile de Batz. Unique flora comparable to that of the Scilly Iles. A real must do.
Short ferry ride at regular intervals. Has been likened to the Scilly Isles. Extraordinary flora, exotic gardens, beaches,...Bike hire available.
White sand, turquoise blue water most days. Good surf, windsurf, kite surf, horse riding, land yachting (centre on beach). Ile de Sieck, accessible at low tide is a good walk as well as the river estuary and adjacent forest. Kite festival in May. Nearby bars and restaurants. 4 mn by car, 10 mn by bike from house.
Scenic/dramatic scenery. Coastal footpaths documented in house information pack
The marine and iodine-rich environment is famous for its medicinal virtues, hence the spa and other rehabilitation centres.
Beautiful gite in the most peaceful location. Clean and very equipped with everything you might need, and a huge variety of toys, games, bikes, etc a bonus. Lovely garden with lunchtime sun perfect to bring out the garden furniture.
Stunning beaches in easy walking distance and many others a short drive away. Great surfing opportunities, and we saw many others kite boarding, windsurfing etc. Le Dossen beach has a surf school and various other lessons available.
Bar/restaurant Les Embruns just a short walk away, not to be missed. Lovely food, friendly people and a terrace overlooking the beach. Drive to St Pol de Leon or Roscoff for endless choice of place to eat. Everywhere we visited was family friendly and good value for money.
All amenities a very short drive away, plus hypermarket only 5-10 mins max.
Local markets 3 days per week are wonderful to browse or to buy. We didn't have the chance to visit Morlaix due to travelling times but we're told it is incredible.
For a wet day, swimming pool at Landivisiau was fabulous with slide, warm water, variety of swimming pools and a suana/steam room/jacuzzi.
