Situated in a quiet area of Carantec, this detached neo-Bretonne house has been recently renovated and is light and welcoming. A 5 minute walk will take you to the centre of Carantec for shops, restaurants, bars and the Thursday market. A 10 minute walk, will take you to a number of sandy beaches and more restaurants on the sea front, where you will also find a large variety of activities to do for children and adults alike.
The garden is totally enclosed, so children and pets are able to play in total security. The terrace overlooks the garden and is accessible from the living room and the garden. There is a small seaview and it has beautiful views of the sunsets.
The house has a "sous sol", which is a garage and storage area for games, barbecue and other equipment.
Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, gas/electric cooker, coffee machine and all necessary crockery and utensils. The dining area can sit up to 8 and is situated in the main living area.
Sofa and armchairs, coffe tables and TV with a DVD player.
4 bedrooms in total, 2 with double beds and two with two single beds. 3 of the bedrroms are on the top floor, whilst one of the double rooms is on the ground floor and has an en-suite shower room attached.
The main toilet and bathroom, including bath and shoeer, are upstairs with the three bedrooms, there is a WC is downstairs and one bedroom has own shower room attached.

Enclosed 4 sided garden, with lots of privacy, a terrace over-looking the garden. Various outdoor games are in the "sous-sol"/garage i.e./ badminton and football equipment. Outdoor furniture and barbecue equipment also available.

The house is suitable to a wide range of people, especially families as there is so much to do in the area. It will easily accomodate two families of four people or a family and grandparents. Pets are welcome, but a deposit may be required.
Visit L'Île de Batz by taking a small passenger ferry ride from Roscoff and see it's unusal plants by foot or on bicycle. From Carantec, Le Château du Taureau is well worth the visit to find out some local history. You can also do a tour of the beautiful Baie de Morlaix and make sure you take your binoculars to experience the wide range of rare birds that the Baie is renowned for.
The market in Carantec every Thursday and the market in Morlaix on a Saturday, to buy fresh local produce and holiday souvenirs. Demais and Ty Fournil are the two local boulangeries, which are excellent for baguette and French pastries. O'Gourmandise Chocolatier, for exceptional desserts and chocolates. L'Abri du Pêcheur and Le Cabestan, both in the old port of Carantec which is a picturesque 10 min walk, have stunning views of L'Île Callot and St Pol de Léon at sunset. Both these restaurants serve delicious local seasonal seafood and other fresh produce.
L'Île Callot is a ten minute walk from the house, and is well worth the visit. It is a tidal island and cars may not be permitted during summer months, so do check tide times carefully. The unspoilt plant life and beaches make it an excellent and unmissable destination for a picnic. More towards the centre of Brittany, Huelgoat offers beautiful forest walks steeped in Celtic legends and mysteries. The Sentier des Douaniers offers spectacular views around the coast of Carantec, taking in L'Île Louet and plage Tahiti and you can also explore further afield.
On the main beach Kelenn, there are a wide range of activities including sailing, diving, windsurfing and kayaking with lessons and or equipment hire at very resonable rates, including wetsuits. The nearby beach of Le Dossen, Santec, is excellent for bodyboarding, surfing, kitesurfing and sand yachting with lessons and hire of equipment available in situ.
