Elaine the English owner was very friendly and helpful. On arrival we were greeted by her and a welcome cuppa.

A basket of goodies to start us off was left on the kitchen table, a nice touch - many thanks Elaine.

Two large bedrooms upstairs with velux windows to each room, with good wardrobe space.
Bathroom downstairs with excellent shower cubicle.
Lots of utensils, crockery etc in the kitchen which is well laid out. However, to open the window you need to have very long arms or use a chair to stand on. This is due to the thickness of the walls of the gite.
Plenty of hot water which was good.
Lounge a tad dark but in hot weather this would be nice and cool. TV and DVD player.
We found the wifi a bit iffy but worked better in the lounge.
Parking for the car opposite, also there is childrens play area and a large barn to play in if it's wet.
The gite is located in a hamlet and we found this to be totally quiet.
Nearest village is Berrien where there is a patisserie, Huelgoat is above five minutes drive away where you can find local shops, cafes and a supermarket.

The property is new, it is clean and very comfortable and warm. The beds are comfortable and the Spa shower is excellent with constant hot water.

The gite is situated just outside the main village of Berrien and about 10 minutes drive from Huelgoat where there is a large lake for trout fishing in season,, shops, bar, and all amenities.

We only stayed for 4 nights so did not explore the area very much, also the weather was disappointing for the beginning of September and it was misty and dull.

The owner is wonderful, she greeted us with a cup of tea which was welcome after a long journey and a rough sea crossing. She lives next door, but is very unobtrusive, she is there if you need her/ She left us wine, cheese, milk and bread - exactly what you want when you first arrive.

Highly recommended.
