Our mobile home is situated in the grounds of L'Orangerie de Lanniron, a 5* holiday park. The chateau, with historic 17c gardens covering 90 acres, overlooks the Odet River, is just a stones throw from the medieval walled town of Quimper. The site is nestled in a land of legends, with untamed coastline, glorious beaches and magnificent countryside. Lanniron provides everything for a memorable holiday!
The kitchen/dining area is well equipped for four people with cooker, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and a good supply of pots and pans in addition to crockery, cutlery and glasses. Furnished with a glass topped dining table and four chairs with a door leading onto the eastern terrace.
The comfy, carpeted sitting area contains two large sofas (one of which collapses into a double bed), coffee table, side board and shelf unit, with television and dvd etc, double French door provide access to the sunny decking area.
There is a supply of books (including a French/English dictionary!) games and a selection of stationary, pens and pencils.
Double bedroom, with en suite toilet and wash basin, plenty of drawer and wardrobe space (hangers), bedside cabinets and dressing table with mirror. Hair dryer and electric fan.
Bedroom with twin beds, wardrobe (hangers), drawers, cupboards and shelf unit.
All beds have waterproof covers with new mattresses, duvets and pillows (English size).
You will need to bring your own bed linen and towels - arrangements can be made for hire on site, but this may be costly!
En suite toilet and wash hand basin adjoining double bed room.
Shower room with toilet and wash hand basin.
Electric wall heaters in every room and corridor.
Television receptors installed to receive English and French television.
Box of games and stationary.
On the decking terrace is an assortment of tables and chairs, 2 parasols and a gazebo.
Parking is available for 2 cars beside the home.
The home is suitable for up to four adults. Use of the sofa bed would increase capacity to six and a travel cot and high chair can be made available with prior notice.
The home is definitely NON smoking and well behaved dogs are welcome. They must be kept on a lead whilst on site, but may run free on the terrace. There is a supply of doggy poo bags under the kitchen sink!
Three steps up from the grassy surround, to access the decking around the home. Unfortunately the mobile home is not really suitable for wheelchair use.
We would expect you do a thorough cleaning before you leave and a note of any problems, breakages or accidents that may have happened, would be helpful. Accidents do happen !
Mobile phone reception is excellent and wifi connection is available free of charge from the bar on site.
My husband, a retired airline captain, and myself are committed Francophiles who spend the best part of the summer at our farmhouse in deepest Brittany. We fell in love with L'Orangerie when we found it last year and we, and our 'adult' children and their children have spent many happy days recharging our batteries on the delightful 5-star site. We are able to bring Charlie, the Springer Spaniel and bore our friends in England recalling delightful times spent on the 'other side of the Channel'!

|Why this location?||The historic city of Quimper, famous for its painted porcelain and twin spired Gothic cathedral, is within walking distance of the site (although buses run regularly to the city centre), beautiful beaches just 15 km away, restaurants galore in the neighbourhood and the exciting countryside of Brittany just waiting to be explored, e.g.. traditional music festivals - Lorient, artists retreats - Pont Even, history - menhirs at Carnac, Pardons - every village has one once a year, the list is endless. Or, better still just stay, relax, and enjoy the peaceful 90 acres surrounds of the Chateau and the river Odet. L'Orangerie really is the centre of exciting Brittany!
Neighbouring the site, just 2km distance, just about every other sport imaginable is available at the Aire de loisirs de Creac'h Gwenn.
|Unique benefits of property||The mobile home is set in a quiet area of the site bounded by pretty shrubs and trees. The site and facilities, which include a banderie (laundrette) and epicerie (corner shop), are all up to date and well maintained. A day club offers entertainment to youngsters and the poolside bar provides evening musical events to suits all tastes. On site, a 9-hole golf course (special rates for guests), an aquaparc with waterslides, spa bath and counter current swim jet. Tennis, volley ball and trampolines are all ready for the using and on site bicycle hire.
The reception and onsite staff are all willing and friendly, many of whom speak a little English, and all go out of their way to make your stay a happy one!
And most important to all holiday makers - fresh bread and croissants - DAILY !
Although advertised as a 'pizzeria' - we found this delightful restaurant entirely to our liking and not a bit pizzery!,
Highly recommended for morning coffee, snacks at lunch time and evening diner. (Do check the opening hours - they tend to have a mid afternoon siesta when least expected) !
I can't remember what it is called - but DO try it - it really has the best ever selection of bread and cakes !!!
