The enclosed garden is very peaceful, not overlooked and benefits from a lovely covered heated pool.
There is a wide sandy beach within walking distance via a quiet coastal road - just 300m when the tide is high but up to 1km at other times. Plus, within ten minutes’ drive there are some of the finest sandy beaches on this stretch of the north Brittany coastline (head to either the Amiets or Roguennic beaches).
There are plenty of water sports activities nearby including windsurfing, bodysurfing, paddle boarding, kayak and many more in nearby Mogueriec, Sibiril or Santec.
Close by Roscoff is more than just a ferry port (sailings to and from Plymouth). Attractive 16th century granite buildings nestle against the coastline, the streets filled with restaurants, bars, charming little art galleries and gift shops. Across a narrow stretch of water from the quaint harbour is the tiny Ile de Batz, a beautiful island well worth a visit. Roscoff is also home to La Maison des Johnnies et de l'Oignon de Roscoff, a museum commemorating the ‘Onion Johnnies', who travelled to Britain on their bicycles selling onions door-to-door and who, many say, made famous the caricature image of the Frenchman in a beret on a bike laden with onions.
