My Wife and I found Mrs Reed's apartment by chance, obviously from Brittany Ferries catalogue. We have now been on consecutive years, five times, and have already booked for 2013. To say that it is home from home sums it up for us, and we do our best to ensure that we treat it fondly. In giving the 'setting' only 8, is due to the fact that as a ground floor apartment, there is no broad expanse of holiday view to be enjoyed, but as a bonus, a nice quiet secluded lawned garden. Amenities at 8 is because there are no immediately local facilities, apart from the bus stop around the corner. However the lovely town is about 15 minutes on foot, 5 minutes by car, and the choices for everything then at hand. The problem with saying how nice it is, is that we could find ourselves unable to book it in future. Mrs Reed has ensured that our holidays in her apartment have been just as we wished for, and it is very nice to feel part of the French community that the rest of the building consists of.

Owner response

I now feel that Mr. and Mrs. Vaughan are old friends!
It's so nice to know that the apartment is so pleasing to others!

The apartment was really lovely. It was clean and comfortable and very well equipped.
Superb furnishings and a private patio aea. A very good base for visiting St Malo and surrounding towns and villages and of course the walks along the beaches and coastal paths at Dinard itself are wonderful.
The owner of the property was very friendly and readily contactable by email. She made the arrangements for collection of keys etc easy for us.
We would certainly recommend this property to friends and family and shall be re-booking.
We ate in most of the time - the indoor market at Dinard is excellent.

We have returned year after year to this very comfortable and well equipped holiday apartment in a beautiful area. The local coast paths are superb for walking. We thoroughly recommend it and consider it suitable for mature couples, holidaying with friends and families with young children.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was well equipped and maintained to a high standard. This was our second visit as we enjoyed it so much last year. The apartment is a ten minute walk from the main beach in Dinard passing by the busy market. Dinard beach has lots of great rock pools to entertain the children. Dinard is a great base to explore the coast and nearby islands. I'm sure we will return in the future. What a great holiday. Fresh skate from the market is a must! This year we took the fastcat from St Malo and spent the day in St Helier in Jersey. Last year we used the ferry to visit St Malo which was great fun. The aquarium in St Malo is great fun for the children with the visit ending in a submarine ride. Mont St Michel is worth a visit but get there early as the crowds at lunch time can be overwhelming. Last year Dinan just in land from Dinard held a medieval festival the day we arrived. Dinan is a medieval town so lots of interesting buildings, very picturesque. I think we all adored St Servan just outside St Malo. If we come back again I would like to try a river cruise up the Rance. This year the weather was so good, just going down to the beach was enough for the children.
