After many years of holidaying here in rural France, we bought a holiday home in 2003. Each time we returned to England it became harder to leave this tranquil lifestyle behind. In July 2012 we bought our current home and left England. We took a year to create our holiday cottage in the garden which has become Cider Cottage. We enjoy sharing our own special piece of French countryside with our guests.

This was the third visit we have made to Cider Cottage and yet again we had a fantastic time. Chris and Angela are such welcoming hosts and always have time to help plan trips out, suggest activities or places to eat and it is clear how much pride they take in ensuring guests have an enjoyable stay. The cottage is charming and has everything you could need or want and is always spotless. The surrounding area has plenty to interest all ages with beautiful countryside, picturesque villages and towns all within easy reach.
A great place for a break - we will be back!
It was such a pleasure to meet up again. We are always pleased to hear that you have enjoyed your stay. We are glad that any efforts we make result in a comfortable stay for our guests. You will always be welcome here whenever you decide to return.
Great value for money,quiet,lovely location.
spotless & comfortable accommodation.
Hosts are wonderful & nothing is to much trouble.
This was our 4th visit & it wont be our last.
This, our second visit to Cider Cottage, proved to be every bit as enjoyable (if not more so) than the first. Once again the property was spotlessly clean on arrival, and it is clear that a great deal of thought went into the conversion works to create this beautifully finished and well maintained gite. The layout works really well, with no wasted space, and having a toilet on both floors is a bonus for families. Having such a well equipped kitchen is also beneficial for those who don't necessarily want to eat out all the time.
Chris and Angela, the owners, were once again helpful, welcoming and accommodating, always being available for advice and assistance when needed, whether for local knowledge or more practical requests such as bike storage.
The cottage has a tranquil, rural setting, with beautiful well-kept gardens for the kids to explore, but local towns and villages with all essential amenities are within easy reach. There is plenty to see and do in Brittany and Normandy within an hours drive radius of the cottage, including beaches around the bay of Mont St Michel and historic towns such as Saint Malo and Fougeres. The quiet lanes in the immediate locality also provide a safe, family friendly environment for cycling should you not wish to venture too far.
We feel privileged to have been able to share Chris and Angela's little part of France again and would highly recommend Cider Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing self catering holiday.
Thank you for your enthusiastic comments. It was our pleasure to welcome you back to Cider Cottage. We are pleased to be able to contribute in any way we can to add to the enjoyment of your holiday in this beautiful area of France. We hope that you might pass this way again in the future.
This was our second visit to Cider Cottage and yet again we couldn't fault it. The owners Chris and Angela are lovely, so welcoming and helpful, providing recommendations on local attractions and amenities. They have furnished the cottage with care and have thought of everything that might be needed in a home from home. The cottage is lovely and a perfect size for four people. It is spotless, in a beautiful setting, and within easy distance of towns/supermarkets etc. We would definitely recommend this property as somewhere to pick if you want a relaxing break away from the crowds.
Thank you. It was a delight to welcome you again. We take great pleasure from hearing that we have been able to contribute towards the enjoyment of your holiday. Thank you for your recommendation and we hope that you will pass our way again at a future date.
