Spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms, located 300m from the main sandy beach in Dinard, the property provides an ideal base for a seaside break in an elegant French seaside town.
The apartment is really in the middle of this popular seaside town; from the front door, you can stroll to Dinard's main beach in about 3 minutes. There is a good selection of restaurants and cafés close by, as well as tempting bakers, patisseries and other food shops.
The apartment is located on the second floor within a traditional stone Dinard townhouse, and is accessed by stairs. Entering the apartment, there is a spacious living area, dining table with chairs and corner kitchen. Next to this room is a pretty double bedroom and separate bathroom with wc. A short flight of stairs leads to a spacious attic bedroom with 2 single beds and a cot. There are stairgates at the top and bottom of these stairs. Electric radiators and double glazing make the apartment a comfortable base all year round.
The apartment overlooks Dinard's market square, which is host to the market held 3 times a week. There are a couple of open air public car parks close by.
The town of Dinard is very close to the airport of Pleurtuit (about 5 km), which is served by Ryanair flying in from East Midlands and Stansted. With some very low priced flights, you can get to the area very cheaply, and pick up a hire car at the airport. The ferry port of St Malo is very close as well – about a 20 minute drive.
Dinard is one of Brittany's oldest seaside towns, and has a very French feel, much favoured by Parisians looking to relax by the sea. With a good selection of restaurants, bistros, shops and the weekly market, you can leave the car behind and not drive for a week if you wish. A coastal path connects the 3 beaches around wooded headlands topped with turreted Victorian villas. The main beach, Plage de l'Ecluse, is sandy and ideal for swimming with blue-striped sentry-box tents erected in the high season.
Linen is provided free of charge and an end of stay clean can be arranged for 50 Euros.

The nearest public car park is just opposite the apartment, charges apply. There is a free public car park close by, Parking Simone Veile, it takes less than 10 minutes to walk there.
Dinard is an elegant and popular seaside town with a large sandy beach and many good restaurants and bistros. A long time favourite with Parisians looking for a chic escape by the sea, Dinard remains a popular choice to relax and enjoy the area. With a good selection of Art galleries and independent shops, the town centre is good for browsing and shopping.
The town is on the beautiful Côte d'Emeraude, you can walk along the coastal footpath and enjoy the stunning views and clear green sea. Bike hire is available in the town, and there are a number of signed cycle paths which lead out from the town.
The ferry port at St Malo is about a 25 minute drive away, and the regions main attractions are all easily reachable on the good Brittany road network .
The walled town of Saint-Malo is well worth exploring, walk the circuit of the town walls with great views out to sea and down towards the allies and street of the old town. Rebuilt after the war, the town is much favoured by Parisians escaping the capital as well as overseas visitors, who come to sample the town's many good restaurants, art galleries and high end shops.
Walk out from the impressive town gate along the promenade 'Le Sillon' overlooking the large sandy beach leading east to the headlands at Minihic and Rothéneuf. A series of cafés, restaurants and hotels along the front offer an ideal stop for a drink or meal overlookng the sea.
A jewel of a town, with an unspoilt historic centre and pretty port area to explore. You can easily reach Dinan in about 25 minutes by car, and explore the old town, or enjoy the river Rance and port area.
The Fête des Remparts is a Medieval extravaganza in Dinan, takes place every two years, the next planned for 21st July 2020. One of France's biggest medieval festivals with jousting,entertainments, dancing and general merriment. Not to be missed, and if you come along in medieval dress, entrance is free.
