About this property

Lovely Stone Beamed Cottage.. This cottage/gite is in a rural setting.

Lovely stone cottage, a renovated Boulangerie with beamed rooms.

Well equipped with large kitchen/diner, living room, bathroom and bedroom.



Kitchen and dining

The kitchen at La Boulangerie is very well equipped, with lots of cupboard space and a large work surface.

It has a cooker, a microwave, large fridge with freezer, dishwasher, washing machine.

The cupboards are full of glassware and china, there is a teapot, cafeteria, toaster and plenty of utensils.

We provide our guests with tea towels and we leave enough washing up liquid and other cleaning products to last several days.

There is a table in the kitchen and 4 dining chairs. We also have a highchair if needed.

Living rooms

The living room has heaps of character, with some exposed stone walls, a large granite chiminee with a log burning stove.

We have 2 comfortable sofas and 2 armchairs, several coffee-tables.

There is a flat screen tv which has both French and English channels.

French windows open out onto a cobbled area in front of the cottage, with small table and chairs for your morning tea or coffee or aperitifs in the evening.


Upstairs, there is a comfortable cosy bright bedroom with beams.

There is a double bed and a single bed, which are made fresh for your arrival.

We have a wardrobe, drawers, bed side lamps, hair dryer and bookcase.

A travelcot is available if needed.


The bathroom is downstairs.

It has a bath/shower, a sink and lavatory.

We provide shower/bathmats and hand towels.


There is a log burning stove for winter use and central heating.

For chilly times there is an oil burning fire which gives instant heat.

There is sometimes a charge for central heating depending on it's use.


Flat screen tv with both French and English channels.

A range of novels are available for our guests.

Garden and outside

The cottage has a large private lawned area with garden chairs and table and small bbq.

Directly in front of the cottage is a cobbled area with small table and chairs.

For hot days and balmy evenings, we have a open sided roofed area with table and chairs.

There is also the use of the pool and sports barn, which badminton net, darts, table tennis and basket ball net.

There are children's swings and climbing ropes in one of the gardens.

There is a small orchard and a large courtyard.

Parking and garages

Plenty of space for parking in the courtyard.

There are cobbles outside therefore difficult for wheelchairs though not impossible.

Why this location? Situated on the Brittany/Normandy border it is well situated to explore both of these interesting yet different departments. There is something nearby for all tastes and budgets, forests, beaches, lakes, walks along the old railway line which is also great for riding bikes from one town to another. Castles, Chateaus, historical towns.

Great restaurants nearby, great value lunchtime menus.
