We had a fantastic week at Port la Land. The cottage is fabulous and perfectly located very close to the beach with a lovely garden and great kitchen. The market in Port du Crouesty is lovely - my husband even went as far as to say it was the best French market he’d visited. There’s lots to do locally and with our bikes (and the free local buses) the only time we used the car was a trip to Vannes which was lovely.
Thank you very much to the owners of the property- the information and instructions they provided were very thorough and very helpful and thank you for the bottle of wine too!
We will definitely return.

> Consider the advert provides a fair description of the property and its facilities
> We have always found the property both well-maintained and clean
> We have always found the owner very helpful to deal with including prompt response
> Would happily recommend the property to a friend or relative provided they were looking for this sort of accommodation in this sort of location
> We have been privileged to have the use of Beach Cottage for three holidays now and always enjoy exploring the area including the many beaches and small resorts of Presqu'il du Rhuys as well as the local places of interest; the markets are always good and interesting.
Within walking distance you will find an excellent cross section of each - a beach; places of interest with the local marina always worth a visit whatever time of day whether to do with the boats themselves, or the market and many small shops, bars, cafes and restaurants.
Port Navalo and St Jacques not far away have become favourites of ours - with Vannes on the bus and St Nazaire further afield also interesting and enjoyable.
We love Beach Cottage!

We have been to this property four times and have always been satisfied. This time the lounge furniture had been renewed and was very comfortable.

We love this property and its location. We have always found the owner reliable and very helpful and we hope sometime to return. We have no hesitation in recommending the property.

The house was very spacious for the 3 of us, it was full of all amenities we needed, however looked a little tired and a bit dusty in places.
Our 3 year old loved the beach, watching boats in the harbour and the playground nearby.
We enjoyed exploring the rock pools and paddling and paddle boarding on the beach.
Port Navalo is a lovely port to visit and the coastal walk is beautiful.
We took the passenger ferry to Lochmariaquer which is a pretty village with good beaches nearby.
We did as the French do - rode our bikes and ate moules frites and enjoyed our hols.

Owner response

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. Guests are always very pleased with how well equipped the property is and with comfortable beds especially when compared with the normal French gites and we agree that it is very well situated right near to the beautiful beach and a short walk into the port and close to all sorts of activities, walks, cycle tracks etc. We feel that your marking for cleanliness is a little harsh being only half that of the worst score we have been given for that category by any other guest because you felt the property was "a bit dusty in places", We do depend on the previous tenant's leaving the property in a clean condition and like to be told if that is not so.

However, we are very glad that you enjoyed your holidays doing "as the French do" and Port du Crouesty is certainly somewhere that you can always do that.
