The house was very spacious for the 3 of us, it was full of all amenities we needed, however looked a little tired and a bit dusty in places.
Our 3 year old loved the beach, watching boats in the harbour and the playground nearby.
We enjoyed exploring the rock pools and paddling and paddle boarding on the beach.
Port Navalo is a lovely port to visit and the coastal walk is beautiful.
We took the passenger ferry to Lochmariaquer which is a pretty village with good beaches nearby.
We did as the French do - rode our bikes and ate moules frites and enjoyed our hols.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. Guests are always very pleased with how well equipped the property is and with comfortable beds especially when compared with the normal French gites and we agree that it is very well situated right near to the beautiful beach and a short walk into the port and close to all sorts of activities, walks, cycle tracks etc. We feel that your marking for cleanliness is a little harsh being only half that of the worst score we have been given for that category by any other guest because you felt the property was "a bit dusty in places", We do depend on the previous tenant's leaving the property in a clean condition and like to be told if that is not so.
However, we are very glad that you enjoyed your holidays doing "as the French do" and Port du Crouesty is certainly somewhere that you can always do that.
The house is in a perfect location, very close to the beach, coastal path and a short walk to the restaurants and shops on the marina, The garden is sheltered and well screened and all the rooms are modern, light and pleasant.
The lack of any local agent is a concern in case of problems and means considerable cleaning has to be done at the end of the holiday. This does make the house cheaper, but is an inconvenience.
The marina area was rather quiet as it was early June and we didn't have wonderful weather - but that isn't the house's fault.
I would certainly recommend this property to friends.
A lovely cottage besides the beach with mod cons.
Stone terraced house a few steps from the beach and 5 minutes walk from yacht harbour and seaside type shops and cafes and restaurants.
Supermarkets within easy reach.
Sailing boat hire very near and a good crazy golf course too, but this is only open at weekends and fete days in June.
The only thing lacking was Wifi, but this could b e accessed free from tourist offices or from the nearby Pierre et Vacance nearby for a fee.
The interior of the house was spotless. The kitchen equipment was second to none.. I only gave the 'cleanliness 9/10 because the garden furniture was very dirty after not being used until June, when we were there, I suppose The rear garden was sheltered and sunny.
Most houses in France and Spain that we rent for holidays have the option of paying for an end of holiday cleaner. Although we always leave the places clean it is a welcome add-on for two old crocks!
It is lovely to have the safety and quiet that a car-free area brings, but is a bit trying lugging luggage and shopping from the car to the house.
We love the house; have now been twice and hope to go again.
