About the Owner/Advertiser, Mr Mark Perkins

I retired from teaching languages a few years ago. I enjoy looking after our properties in France and in the UK as it is such a lovely way to interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds. I love gardening, cooking and walking and travelling. When I am not doing these, I spend my time reading or making things.

We had a great holiday. The gite was immaculate. The outdoor area was perfect for our young children. There is lots to see within the local area. The owner was very easy to communicate with.

This was our first holiday with 4 of us - 2 adults and 2 daughters aged 2 and 4 months - so I was slightly nervous about the whole trip! However our pre holiday communications with the owner were very helpful and efficient and any nerves evaporated when we arrived at Gite 1. It was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable and welcoming, plenty of outside space to run around, all the facilities we needed but not over done, a beautiful setting, so quiet and peaceful and a real oasis of calm ( even with two children under 2!) Yes we had to pop into the car to get to the nearest village but that was not a problem at all and we enjoyed being in a really lovely rural setting surrounded by fields and sky. Ambon was our regular bakery stop - well worth it and we enjoyed exploring the local area and beaches and ventured a little further afield to Carnac and Vannes. There is plenty to do for all ages and we already have a list for next time. We would highly recommend the gite and the area and hope to return to explore more in the future. Many thanks

We really enjoyed this gite. It was spotlessly clean , all good facilities and the entry arrangements were fine ( didnt arrive until midnight). It is in a lovely quiet location near to Ambon which has a great market on a Sunday. Good intermarche at Survur just down the road and the carre four in Muzillac is also good. The excellent beaches nearby ( we liked penlan) were not crowded and the water was clean. We are both seafood fans and the oysters bought and eaten locally , especially at cafe pecheur in Penerf (Damgan) were fabulous. The moules frites also at cafe pecheur were good value, well served , and most importantly delicious.
We didnt do a great deal of sight seeing as we were looking for a restful break after a very busy few months but enjoyed a visit to le Croisic where we met friends. We also visited La Roche Bernard where we ate in a courtyard in the old town and Roche en Terre. Both worth a vist
We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and hopefully will return.
We would be more than happy to recommend this property to anyone.
