La Maison Bleue is the perfect base for your holiday in Southern Brittany. This two bedroomed stone house has recently been renovated to a very high standard and is fully equipped for all your holiday needs. Located in a quiet village it is just a two minute walk from the village shop, bar and restaurant.
The surrounding area is packed with things to do. Explore the quirky shops in the ancient medieval town of Malestroit with its cobbled streets and 16th century architecture. Have a coffee in the town square, watch the world go by and decide which is the best restaurant for lunch... try the eleven euros four course workers lunch !
A short thirty minute drive and you are at the coast and the world famous Golfe du Morbihan, a huge nature reserve littered with hidden islands and dozens of white sandy beaches all waiting to be discovered.
Take a short boat trip to the Ile aux Moins and explore the twisty paths and ancient buildings. Order oysters or mussels on the quay and soak up the atmosphere of a real fishing port.

Spacious fully-fitted kitchen with an impressive double height ceiling which allows extra light to pour through from a third window on the first floor. Double, state of the art centre lights create a fantastic ambiance. There is a cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and washing machine. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for your holiday.
The house has a large lounge/dining room designed around an impressive Breton fireplace. The floor is newly tiled and huge traditional oak beams hold up the ceiling.
Two large comfy leather settees make up the lounge area and surround the lcd flat-screen tv which receives UK Freeview channels (BBC, ITV etc, etc). There is also a dvd player and dining table and chairs.
The whole first floor has an oak parquet floor. Original oak beams rise up through the ceilings. Bedroom one has a double bed, wardrobe, shelving and chest of drawers. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and bedroom furniture.
The downstairs bathroom is equipped with shower, toilet and wash hand basin
Electric radiators throughout.
The gardens are fenced in and the entrance gated. To the front of the house is a grassed and gravelled area.
There is a seating area complete with outside furniture with a bbq. To the left side of the house there is a large additional grassed garden with views. The house is actually surrounded on 3 sides by its gardens so even when the sun moves you are guaranteed not to miss a ray.
We have a free wifi facility for the exclusive use of our guests staying at La Maison Bleue. This is a self contained private office with access during normal working hours (9am-5pm) Monday through to Saturday. There is no need at all to speak to anyone to arrange this. Come and go at your leisure. Access to the office is direct and has off-road parking.
WiFi is provided so you just need to bring your own laptop/ smartphone or tablet. This office is about five minutes from La Maison Bleue.

The Golfe du Morbihan is just 30 mins away. Enjoy a day at the seaside, explore hidden coves, take a boat trip, eat mussels and frites for lunch and enjoy eating an icecream whilst walking on the sand.
Just a 10 minute drive away you will find La Gacilly. A small town packed full of artisan shops from sculptures to hats, iron works, paintings, glass blowing and a really very good chocolatier!!

The location makes this the perfect holiday spot for those wanting both the idyllic tranquility of rural France together with the option of getting out and about cycling, walking or visiting the nearby towns and beaches. The village of Treal with its restaurant, bars, church, village shop (with fresh baguettes etc) is within a minutes walk. Bleue itself is the last but one house in the village. Don't miss the Thursday market in the medieval town of Malestroit. A real feast for the senses. The vibrant colours of the seasonal fruits and vegetables, the vast array of freshly caught fish, the smell of ripe cheeses and no one can resist the spit cooked chickens.

Le Vieux Lierre, Reminiac (5km) is a fantastic restaurant offering excellent French cuisine.
Take a walk through the vast tanks, fish will swim next to you as you walk. Enjoy the penguin spectacle and the sharks... but don't get too close!!

La Maison Bleue is perfectly situated for cycling and walking. There is a huge network of 'Voie Verte' which are tarmaced disused railway lines, or you can cycle for miles along the canal towpaths, stopping to enjoy a coffee or maybe lunch in many of the riverside villages
