Once 2 thriving farms Le Guily offers 2 superb holiday cottages which have been sympathetically restored to a high standard, retaining their original character and charm. Each cottage is extremely comfortable and spacious and fully equipped with everything you need for a great holiday.
La Maison du Jardin is a pretty 5 bedroom cottage, full of character and charm whilst offering every modern convenience.
The extensive ground floor is open plan with a large kitchen/diner. The kitchen is equipped with gas oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, and fridge, plenty of crockery and cutlery and ample seating around a large farmhouse table.
Separated from the dining/kitchen by beams the carefully restored spacious living area has a wooden floor, exposed stone walls and a large fireplace with wood burning stove and comfortable seating.
Also on the ground floor is a twin bedroom with spacious en suite bathroom. In a wet room style, the bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet and handrails.
A handmade wooden staircase leads to the first floor.
The 4 bedrooms are cosy with wooden flooring and beams throughout. There are 2 spacious double rooms, one room with bunk beds and a single bed and a single room. Centrally located is a bathroom with toilet.
The gite has a very pretty private garden with a swing and climbing frame, a barbeque and two patios with plenty of seating for guests.
The open plan kitchen is equipped with gas cooker, dishwasher, large fridge, microwave with grill, toaster, kettle and plenty of crockery and cutlery. There is a large farmhouse table with ample seating.
The comfortable spacious living area is open plan but cosy with large fireplace and woodburner.
There is satellite tv and dvd/radio systems. There are plenty of books and toys and games for different ages.

La Maison du Jardin has a ground floor twin bedroom with an en suite bathroom. This may be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
On the first floor are 2 double bedrooms, a single room with single bed and a cot and a further bedroom with bunk bed and single bed.
There is a ground floor en-suite bathroom with bath, wet room style shower, bath and toilet
On the first floor there is another bathroom with bath and toilet.
There are electric radiators in each bedroom as well as the woodburner which keeps the house lovely and warm in the cooler months.
There is a fantastic games room in a converted barn which houses a pool table, table tennis, electronic darts, multi-gym and cross trainer. There are also some toys for younger children.
In the well established gardens there is plenty of room to play ball games, have a barbecue or just enjoy the views over the valley.
There is a boules court, slide, swings and small climbing frame and swing for younger children.
There is a large car parking area and even plenty of room if you would like to bring your own boats!
The houses are suitable to be both booked together or separately as they both have private areas.
If you would like to bring your own boats there is plenty of room.
Both houses are also suitable for those with limited mobility or who use wheelchairs. The houses and grounds are easily accessible and adapted with these needs in mind. Extra equipment such as hoists and profiling beds can be hired at very reasonable rates from a local company
We wanted to move to France and looked around until we found Le Guily which we thought was an ideal place to renovate and live, 24 years later and Le Guily is as beautiful as ever. come and see for yourself, we would love to welcome you.

The restaurants of Cendrillon and Chez Marcelle are both located in the village of Kergrist approx 1 mile away or a 15 min walk. The restaurants are accessible to those with limited mobility and wheelchair users.
