We honestly had the most wonderful holiday at Ty Charmian. Our first family holiday with our 2 year old and 8 month old, it was safe to say we were slightly apprehensive. Once we arrived and walked into the house, we just new it was going to be great. The house is so homely and we found it very child friendly. The children loved it. We loved it! The property had everything you could wish for, plenty of toys/entertainment for the children, down to every cooking utensil you could need! (They really had thought of everything!) The location was beautiful. So peaceful and picturesque.

We did a few trips whilst we were there, but the house was so comfortable that we enjoyed staying there and relaxing in the garden/pool area. Just a few mins drive there is a lovely woodland area with picnic area, which was great. We also visited zoo de point scorff lorient, which again was a wonderful day out.

I would 100% recommend this property to a friend, not only is it a perfect break for families with young or older children, but it would also make a great relaxing break for anybody of any age. (It really does tick all the boxes! ) the owner provided us with all the information that we needed, which was very helpful. We will definetly be going back!

We enjoyed our stay despite the weather not being as good as we had hoped. However, between booking and arriving several of the local village facilities had closed down! Condition of house excellent, as was the pool. Roy and Julie the caretakers were very welcoming and helpful.

Owner response

thanks Nigel. yes, it's always a shame when local amenities close but like in the UK these things happen. the good news is that there are already local folk interested in taking on the shop so fingers crossed all will be up and running again for next year.

We had a really nice time at Ty Charmian and would recommend it without reservation. The property is well equipped and comfortable and has nice relaxed feeling to it. The view from the back of the property over the valley is beautiful and my daughter made extensive use of the pool. Overall a lovely holiday.

Owner response

many thanks Geoff. the view from the terrace is beautiful and I only wish we could spend more time there ourselves to enjoy it!

This is a remakable property and we have no hesitation in recommemding it. There is an issue outside of the owners' control which might present a problem for visitors. There used to be a small shop in the village which supplied provisions. That is no longer open. There is also a nice little bar which supplies bread but they are not early risers! There are a number of other towns and villages within motoring distance but I know that some people like their provisions on the doorstep. Sadly this is not an unusual occurence in French villages nowadays.
