Well, it is fair to say that I do not know where to start with this one, as there is so much positive and extraordinary things to say about the cottage , Wendy ,Dave (and Luna of course).
On arrival, you already feel like it is somewhere special when you see the autmatic gate. We were welcomed by Wendy who showed us the place.
As soon as we entered the cottage, my eyes were drawn towards the "welcome basket". I had never seen anything like it (and trust me, we went to few places in the past!). As well as the full basket, made of wine, biscuits, tea, crisps, homemade jam, chocolates...), Wendy also had filled the fridge with eggs, milk, butter, orange juice and beer!!!!!!!
We were treated like family. Whilst sunbathing in the garden one day, Dave came to give us an ice-cream,
Whatever you need (and you won't need more than what they already provide), you will get it, just by talking to Dave or Wendy, you don't even need to ask!!
We lit up the fire one wet Sunday afternoon, the following day, Dave gave us more wood, without having to ask him. Another night, after a thunderstorm, the electricity went off, when we had a knock on the door and were provided with a special torch.
The cottage is full of what you need and more: slippers, dressing-gowns, beautiful coffee machine( with all the different capsules of coffee provided), fluffy towels, electric blankets, beautiful beds and bedding...You have to visit it to believe it.
Beautiful setting too.
Amazing people and place
Thank you for the lovely review Dave and I are so pleased you enjoyed your stay - perhaps we will see you again.
We stopped here for 7 days in august 2015 and it was amazing. What it doesn't say when booking is how much wendy and dave (the owners) provide for you. On arriving we had a warm welcome from them both. On entering they had bought us wine, beer, water, milk, pop, cereal, french bread, butter, eggs, jam, tea and coffee, biscuits, crisps, torch, bat and ball and more than can be mentioned. The cottage also included towels, beach towels, hairdryer, dressing gown and slippers. Enough toliet roll for our stay. I felt so at home here. The grounds are beautiful. We would gladly return. Dave even popped round with a home made rhubarb pie for us, which was lovely.
Thank you wendy and dave for looking after us and been there when we wanted your advise on where was the best places to visit. You made our holiday great and we shall see you again sometime.
To all who are thinking of booking here. It is really quiet and friendly. Perfect for a relaxing get away.
Thank you wendy and dave.
We had such an amazing time at the linker cottage. Wendy and David couldn't have been more helpful. The cottage was immaculate and extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. I can't recommend it enough for a quiet relaxing holiday.
