Chene is a spacious 2 bedroomed cottage in a very peaceful location with panoramic views of the rolling countryside.
On arrival at Clistivan, you’ll receive a very warm welcome from Andrew and Lyndsey, the resident owners. Entering the cottages, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the spacious accommodation; guests say the photos don’t do it justice. And outside you’ll be blown away by the peace and tranquility of the surrounding countryside.
Both our holiday cottages, Chêne and Hêtre, are spotlessly clean, safe and very comfortable. The cottages can also be interlinked, providing accommodation for 8 people. They are very well equipped, with a fenced garden, UK satellite tv, dvd, Internet, washing machine, microwave, dishwasher, books, toys and games.
Surrounded by fields, Clistivan offers you rest, relaxation and rural charm; yet we’re just 6 minutes from the local market town of Baud. Clistivan is situated 25 minutes from the south coast city of Vannes. Brittany's medieval cities, standing stones, forests and beautiful beaches are all within a 30min drive.
The cottage is a real 'home from home'. Well situated to take advantage of the many things to see and do in south Brittany.
A full kitchen, just like yours at home. Dining table and chairs for 5-6 people.
Well furnished with a 3 piece suite, wooden cupboards, and a carpet.
One double room and 1 twin room
One bathroom with a good over bath shower.
Electric central heating with controller and thermostat.
UK satellite tv, dvd and cd player, books, games, children's toys, dvds, cds,
Swings, badminton, boules.
Plenty of parking in front of cottage.
Suitable for couples or families with children.
Sorry, but pets are not accepted.
We live here all year round. We teach English to French business people, but not in the summer season. We love walking, kayaking, ice-skating, swimming, playing tennis, theatre, music...

|Why this location?||Probably the view! And the fact that the house is all on its own. It's near the coast, but calm and quiet. Just 6 mins to a good-sized town and the dual carriageway between Rennes and Lorient.|
|Unique benefits of property||Without a doubt, the peace and quiet. Visitors also appreciate our warm welcome, tourism recomendations and the fact that we are on hand if needed.|
A short 5 minute ferry crossing takes you to this island in the Golfe du Morbihan (30 mins from us) where you'll find no cars, but little lanes, lovely beaches, and great restaurants. A perfect day out.
The property was perfectly as described with all the facilities needed for a home from home. We couldn’t fault the living space, cleanliness and general location, ideally placed for access to all areas. Andrew and Lyndsey live in the adjacent property and were always on hand to help if needed, especially with a sociable aperitif. Very friendly with plenty of suggestions of places to visit. We would have no hesitation in recommending the property and the hosts, and would stay again, which is the ultimate compliment!
Thanks Michelle. It was lovely to welcome you and your family. Hope to see you again one day. Best wishes, Lyndsey & Andrew
Wonderful cottage, very well equipped and pristine clean and friendly welcoming hosts. Very peaceful location but within a short distance of a variety of activities - beaches, canoeing, cycling, castles, stones, activities for children. Definitely recommended.
Thanks Carol. You were perfect guests and it's lovely to have visitors that appreciate the accommodation and the surrounding countryside and activities. Hope to see you all again sometime.
This is an extremely comfortable and well-appointed gite, in a superb location in the beautiful Bretton countryside. The rural setting, within cornfields and farm lands, is extremely peaceful but still in strolling distance of the small village. A short car journey away is the pretty town of Baud, with shops and great restaurants. We took our small children to the creperie, followed by a trip to the beach - the coastline is stunning and very varied.
We had a very relaxing and restorative stay and our hosts, Lyndsey and Andrew, were extremely warm and helpful. Chene was a real retreat and home-from-home!
We had a really great stay Very peaceful Could have done with a few local amenities ie bar etc.
