All this sits in the heart of Southern Brittany's most beautiful countryside and forms part of Nevedic, (meaning 'little sanctuary' in Breton), a small hamlet within a conservation area, of which the peace and tranquillity has hardly changed since the reign of Louis XIV.

The woods provide excellent opportunities for mountain biking.
Along the River Blavet runs a cycle/footpath passing through towns and hamlets from Pontivy to the coast. This path is perfect for walking, fishing and especially cycling. The small town of Quistinic can also be reached via Nevedic Woods for those who like a good walk (25 minutes). Here you will find a store selling many general household items including fresh bread, cakes and milk. There is also a pharmacy, postal service, creperie with bar and a small bar/newsagent.
Large supermarkets, bars, restaurants and numerous shops can be found in Baud a 20 minutes drive away. There are many beaches within a 45 minutes drive. If you like browsing town markets there is at least one to be found everyday.

|Why this location?||We chose the area around the River Blavet for its beautiful, unspoilt environment. It offers great opportunities for walking, cycling and canoeing and also has a host of historical towns nearby as well as incredible beaches and esturies.|
|Unique benefits of property||Our property is in a tiny hamlet called Nevedic which means 'Little Sanctuary'. It is the tranquility of the environment that most visitors comment on and they all find our ancient stone cottages stunningly beautiful.|
There are many sandy beaches, within easy driving distance of Munro Brittany Cottages, many offering a full range of water sports. The nearest sandy beach is at Port Louis. Popular beach areas include Carnac, La Trinite Sur Mer, Larmor Plage, and St Pierre-Quiberon. Quiet beaches, with nature reserves, big sand dunes and wide open spaces can be found from Gavres to Penthièvre. Beaches in general never get crowded and are very clean.
River Blavet towpath stretches for many miles, it is well maintained and level, ideal for novice cyclists. We have 2 bicycles available for hire.
Windsurfing and kite surfing, areas include Penthievre east of Port Louis. This is where our son learnt to kite surf while visiting us on holiday and is now hooked.
Poul Fetan a museum of Breton's historical culture is just a short walk away, with a tavern and restaurant, open throughout the summer season, school half-terms and week-ends during the winter. The weir and boating lock on the river Blavet is just 15 minutes walk away, were you will find a bar with outside tables and chairs serving light snacks, ice-creams and refreshments during the summer season.

The gites are located close to the River Blavet in beautiful quiet relaxing garden and countryside yet just a few minutes from local shopping facilities. The area is perfect for a relaxing or sightseeing holiday.
The gites of which there are 3 are stocked with everything required. Fully fitted kitchen with all you would require. We stayed in Wysteria gite this year which is the 2 bedded gite. We stayed as two couples each bedroom with it's own bathroom. Downstairs there is a lovely wood burning gite, 2 settees, large dining table, tv with lots of dvds, a bookcase with a wide variety to choose from, a well, stocked kitchen and a music player. Upstairs each bedroom has fluffy towels and robes along with high quality bedding.
The owners provide a more than generous welcome basket with lots of lovely goodies to help kick start the holiday.
The garden outside has various seating areas, a wood fired hot tub along with various seating to relax and enjoy the garden.
Each gite also has it's own outside furniture with table for alfresco dining. .
