|Why this location?||We love the country life but also, it's easy access to historic towns, restaurants, bars, and the beautiful rugged Breton coast, sandy beaches and the islands.
Our French neighbours are delightful, very friendly and enjoy our summer visitors. The farmer's fields go to the river and he is happy for you to wander, picnic or fish by the river. Often a tractor ride is on offer !

This holiday was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. From the moment we arrived and our hoss welcomed us, showed us around the Gite is charming, the garden lovely and the pool is the icing on the cake and heated too!!
The location is tranquil and stunning, there is lots to do but we just lounged, relaxed, BBQ'd and drank.
The Gite is spacious and well equipped, we were a large party and never felt cramped.
We loved the farm dog who was fab!!
In short we will be back!
Martine and Gildas were excellent hosts, always on hand for any problems as were Angela and Rodger who were just round the corner and gave us some great ideas of where to go and what to do ( along with a couple of glasses of some fine French wine ).
The house is in an excellent countryside location approx. 10mins from Baud which has everything you need ( supermarkets, bakers, butchers etc ) and only 35 mins from the nearest beaches. The house is clean, comfortable, spacious and has everything you need. For the teenagers the WiFi worked excellent, even in the garden ( so my 14 y/o daughter told me ). For the adults no mobile signal which is a distinct advantage.
The girls enjoyed the heated pool and the tractor ride given by Gildas was a huge hit. Toby the dog was a constant evening companion, he's a big lad and very playful.
If the weather was good we hit the beaches. If you want body boarding waves then head for the beaches north of Quiberon, if you prefer sheltered then south, especially Carnac. We caught a couple of rainy/ cloudy days so can recommend the submarine base at lorient, sight seeing at Concarneau and vannes and the medieval festival at Hennenbont. If you like French markets as we do the best one was at Auray. It was very very busy so get there early but worth it.
All in all the 8 of us had a great holiday and wouldn't hesitate in recommending 'La Ferme to anyone and we hope to be back one day.
