The cottage was a significant part of our enjoyable holiday in Brittany. South/Central location made it possible to drive to both coasts, and a nice variety of towns and attractions. Region not damaged in the war like Normandy, so still very traditional. Not too far from Calais for confident drivers, so we stopped off at nice places on way to and from ferry port, so our holiday stopped and started at Calais rather than the cottage. A very quiet location, with very friendly and helpful English neighbours. The Kays (owners) were very accommodating and allowed us to do a last minute mid-week booking, which kept the cost our ferry down to only £100, it would have been £260 on a Saturday. Another benefit of Brittany is the time zone being 1 hour ahead of UK, but directly South, means with late sun we could laze and picnic on the beach until gone 9 in August, FAB. Would certainly recommend. The only small drawback is no back garden for eating out doors, this was nice when the children were younger, but with teenagers we now ate out, or on the beach.
Thank-you for taking the time to give such a lovely review. we are really glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you stay with us again.
Just for the avoidance of any confusion for future potential customers, there is a garden and space for eating outdoors so I assume you are referring to the lack of lawn, because the garden is paved.
