The gite shares the land with the large manoir where the owners live. There is just one other gite on the site.
Papillon is a recently fully renovated gite situated in the heart of beautiful rural countryside, surrounded by trees and fields.
Whilst retaining its rural setting, Papillon is only 1 mile from the village of Guern, where there is a patisserie selling fresh bread and groceries. There are also a couple of bars in the viilage.
You can walk to the village directly from the gite on tracks leading to the lovely village of Quelven.
The gite provides a perfect base to explore the local area. Take a drive to Josselin and see the Saturday market, not to be missed.
Or a visit to the ancient town of Vannes is always worthwhile. Explore Lake Guerledan, the largest in Brittany, with its restaurants, beaches and great walks.
Small but fully equipped with all you would expect at home, including toaster, coffee-maker and microwave.
Living room is equipped with tv, dvd player and Sky satellite. There is free wi-fi.

Your gite will be handed over in a clean state and when you vacate the property and we would expect the gite to be left in the same state when you vacate.
For those of you who do not have time to clean there will be a fee of EU 30 for the cleaning.

Visit the Saturday market which spreads throughout the town. One of the best markets to see.
The largest lake in Brittany. There are beaches, restaurants, and lovely walks.
Pontivy is our local town and is approx. 7 miles from the gite. Good restaurants, shopping and there is the Canal Blavet which flows through the centre.
About 40 minutes car drive, Vannes is a must see. Walk round the ancient walls or dine in one of the many waterfront restaurants.
There are great walks directly from the gite. Take the track which leads to the lovely village of Quelven, or a 15 minute stroll to the village to buy your bread.
